Truly a masterpiece of its genre. It has a very good story with all the elements of film noir movies. Dark plot, jazz, bad cops, lonely hero with troubled past, damsel in distresses, femme fatals, fraud, spies, communists, car chases and plot twits. The detective work you do can be repetitive but generally it is fun to follow how the cases unfold and to make guesses. Additionally it has a detailed L.A. city with dark atmosphere from 1947 with its beautiful cars where you can play reverse GTA as cop and can lose yourself with the music of that era and radio programs. It has faults gameplay-wise, few bugs and deficiencies, but I would recommend it everyone who likes a good detective story and especially film noir lovers. It will not disappoint you.
