If you like gta 4 / sleeping dogs this game slaps. Graphics are good, small file size, seems to run pretty good, 4k 60 locked 60-75% gpu usage with DLSS quality for me (was getting like 75-90 before i locked it to 60), not stuttering - combat took me a few encounters to get used to because of the weird buttons (trigger and bumper) but its definitely satisfying and has good power fantasy once you get it down.

Cool game if you like roleplaying tough generic masculine anti hero type stuff.

the pseudo tutorial main storyline is bad and the lack of hall of meat bone breaking / kid friendly overall theme is no bueno - but - this is the greatest "fidget spinner" game ever. I went back to skate 3 recently, and in my opinion, its just janky as all h$ll compared to this game. This game is smooth as butter and you can just turn off your brain and flow around skating and totally lose track of time - feels intuitive. Personally, I think theres a lot of good music in the background as well in like a guilty pleasure kind of way - obviously theres outright bad songs too but thats with anything.

Its an amazing game for when youre staring at your computer and dont want to really dive into any sweaty multiplayer game or devote a large chunk of time to a story game. You can just hop on and enjoy a super smooth skating fidget toy thing which I think is cool.

the actual gameplay is the best in the series. I couldnt care less about a crappy cutscene with a pRo sKaTeR (who you couldnt even recognize because their face was a 240x240 texture on 3 polygons anyways) or grinding challenges for meaningless board sales and fake magazine cover photos. I always just hopped on skate 2 to flow around and this game just delivers on that aspect very hard so to me its a overall net positive in the video game world imo - im glad it exists.

The graphics also just look nice while managing a locked 120fps at 4k with DLSS quality - GPU only at 80ish percent usage - pretty good graphics to performance ratio, thanks to the fact its got a ps4/xbone port so they were forced to do some level of optimization and compromising on non-important visual features.

would love to see some hall of meat broken bones, S.K.A.T.E gamemode vs randos or vs friends, some more varied map locations with hill bombs / downhill races
