TLDR: Series of Quality Of Life changes could be made to the game that would make it an enjoyable game. But in my opinion in it's current state in almost everything you do there's a constant annoyance that could easily just not exist.

First thing is, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at reaction based games. But I figured this game would be more of a silly/story focused. Instead it was a series of small issues that stacked up into major annoyances.

What it ended up being was the following:

- No way to see the description or stamina cost of your spells. They're pretty self explanatory off image but not being able to check is annoying.
-Possible Solution: Page in the inventory with your spells and the current rank..

- No way to see the bait needed for fish you've already caught.
-I understand having to find out for the first time by checking. But the amount of times I've forgotten the bait needed by name of fish, so I have to guess, go back to surface, and then come back down with the right bait.
-Possible Solution: Being able to check the bait needed at the Statue of Thidon.
-Related Bug: If a fish is directly below a roof in a cave the "speech bubble" will be obscured so you won't be able to see the type of bait needed

- Tedious combat system
-Blocking you take half damage, parry you take quarter damage.
-Plenty of fights where you land every parry, use your heals and you're still taking too much damage.
-Possible Solution: Reflect some of the damage? This one I'm not too sure on.
-So many of the fights that you're the same level as the fish if you don't play PERFECTLY you will most likely have to use more than 1 consumable.
-Possible Solution: Give me a difficulty slider, let me play story mode. I don't want 1 mistake to set me back 2 minutes and multiple consumables

- Picking up resource from the ground stops your sprint.
-With the amount of picking up you're doing it gets super annoying super quick. You have to wait for the pick up animation to be over before you can press sprint back down.
- Possible Solution: If holding down sprint key let the player sprint.

- So much of this game revolves around the resources you pick up. The amount you get for how long they take take to respawn isn't good (in my opinion). I'm going to reference to the info below on the next 2 points and then give a possible solution.
-Garlic = 30 seconds (5 spawns)
-Argons Mushroom (brown) = 30 seconds (5 spawns)
-Worm = 1 minute (9 spawns)
-BoBo Berry = 1 minute (3 spawns)
-Palm Nut = 1 minute (6 spawns)
-Fairy = 2 minutes (5 spawns)
-Talon Mushroom (green) = 5 minutes (1 spawn)
-Peace Bloom = 10 minutes (1 spawn)
-Cheese Wedge = 10 minutes (1 spawn)

- If you want to purchase potions, you will need either garlic, palm nut, worm, or argons mushroom. I've already encountered a few times where I'm burning through multiple potions per attempt to catch a fish but it just isn't going well. So I'm burning through all of the resources from above fairly quick. Even thought I've been picking up these as I pass them throughout my play-through, because they're also bait (minus argons mushroom), some are needed for quest turn ins (ex: mayor quest needs 30 palm nut), and/or for potions. I end up running low, needing to farm more. But the amount of time needed is way too high.
-Stamina Potion = 10 Garlic (minimum 1 minute to gather)
-Strength Potion = 20 Palm Nut (minimum 4 minutes to gather)
-Stoneskin Potion = 20 Worm (minimum 3 minute to gather)
-Health Potion = 10 Argons Mushroom (minimum 1 minute to gather)
-Talon Mushroom = 10 Garlic (minimum 1 minute to gather)
-Peace Bloom = 10 worm (minimum 2 minutes to gather)

- So if I wanted to continue attempting to catch the difficult fish where I was using a Stamina, Strength, Stoneskin Potion, and Peace Bloom. If I wanted to directly farm the mats for each, off respawn times alone it would be a minimum of 10 minutes PER ATTEMPT.
-Possible Solution: Being given a ranging variable of 1-3(?) per pickup. Getting to a point where I'm not feeling like I need to make sure I'm grabbing them every time I'm passing would be really nice.

Sorry for essaying. I WANT to finish this game, but as it stands if nothing changes I won't.
