I have this game on the Oculus platform but also purchased it via Steam for testing purposes with mods and the like so disregard the play time as I have oodles of hours played at Rank 60.

This game is a wonderful creation of co-operative strategy board gaming. It is meant to be played with a group as if you were pulling a board game off the shelf for game night. While having inspiration from fantasy games and the 80s theme the game is not a straight RPG or pen&paper tool so temper those expectations. There is no individual progression beyond Ranks for cosmetic unlocks but the game isn't about an individual it is focused on the group aspect.

What you have here is a simple to learn but complex game that can provide hours of fun, with the addition of mods you can change up the game entirely. With a regular group your can game while having a social meeting or gathering all in a VR space.

The other great thing about the game is that despite being a year old development and content has been released without additional costs. When so many developers nickel and dime you it is a relief to find one that seems to want to work with their community and continue to improve their product without putting the costs squarely on their players.

A simple puzzle game with clean graphics and excellent music. You can take this game very serious and try to cram as many points as you can into each island or you can simply relax and get creative.

Would classify this as a casual chill play time experience.

Grim Dawn doesn't have a grand character creator but it does have a ton of action RPG monster smashing content! This game has meta game and loot grind for the ages, with two DLCs if you happen to get bored or just want even more options.

The music is well done, the writing is stellar, voice acting is okay (what there is of it), and the graphics are on par and visually tied together for a gritty pseudo-steam-science world of the late middle ages.

The Lore isn't original but is redone to give it a unique flavor and could definitely inspire more world building and expansion outside a digital medium if desired.

Appropriately priced this game will give you hours of enjoyment especially if you can find some friends to join you.

The game originally developed by Hanakai Studios was to be a Real2Play style game using miniatures and NFC tags on a game board. It was Kickstart funded double over the original asking amount.

Two years later and no Kickstart updates the game is published by a handful of companies to various platforms. Hanakai Studios allegedly went dark and bankrupt in France. However the game continued some form of development and has been updated to unplayable in it's current state.

As an original Kickstarter I'm out the $90USD and now the $20USD to play the unfinished game has been snatched away as well.

Don't waste your time and if you did buy ask for an immediate refund.

*************** ORIGINAL *****************************

I was wondering when Backers from the Kickstarter might actually see the physical items they funded. Presently I am backer #445 out of 1208 and have not received any details regarding the miniatures, game board, etc that I funded at the $90 (incl. shipping) price point.

Also the original funding contained a full 'team' which does not seem to be the focus now of the miniatures. Will there be another survey to alter selections or even just place appropriate orders with the state of the current gameplay? Also the game is on Steam and GOG but Backers have not been able to play it despite their support, how might this be remedied?

It has been over five years without any actual updates on delivery of pledge rewards merely updates for a game that Backers do not even have access too. I have backed over 26 projects and this is the first and ONLY project where I have never received the goods from my pledge to date.

Kindly,

Backer #445
