I love cute rodents, i love picross puzzles, i love decorating, and this game scratches all those itches so well. I've sunk 60 hours into this game and fully completed the first catalog and here's my opinions on everything so far.

Difficulty
Firstly, the difficulty is PERFECT. I was already kinda experienced in nonograms so I skipped the tutorial, but went back later because it had some great advice that I wasn't aware of. This game doesn't punish you for making mistakes, and encourages you to check your work fairly often by keeping all hints free and open - including a 'check for mistakes' button that is a savior when I'm unsure if my logic is sound. There's a lot of optional quality of life features that also made solving 300 puzzles feel so rewarding but fair. The challenge puzzles are not impossible, and the difficulty curve is nice and gentle. I always hated picross games that jump from 15x15 to 50x50 to artificially inflate the difficulty. This game doesnt go above 25x25 iirc.

Gameplay
Second, the puzzles are very rewarding. The loop is simple - you solve a puzzle and get that furniture item. You solve all 6 puzzles on a page to unlock the challenge versions - solving a challenge puzzle rewards you with color variants and the ability to place as many as you'd please. Every new piece of decor made me want to find a place in my home for it. The themes for the items are adorable, and there's a couple of items that are a DELIGHT when you discover them (looking at you, keyboard). The design of the puzzles are loosely based on the actual item but it's only noticeable with a handful of items. My only complaint is the complete lack of hanging items, and no ability to place your clothing pieces (yes you also earn clothes to play dress up with your fully custom rat).

The Flavor
This game is adorable, charming, and addictive with a great soundtrack to boot. There's mail with fun facts about rodents, consistent Rat Content, and slight lore that gets sent to you as you complete puzzles. You unlock sticker packs - and use those stickers to decorate the main menu, loading screen, and puzzle screen. These devs didn't need to do all that, but they did and it's what sets this game apart from the other picross games ive played.

Final Thoughts

I love this game so much, and it's worth every penny. I've noticed my skills improving so much and I'm picking up pro strats naturally! I hope to see updates or at least DLC catalogs before I run out of puzzles entirely. 10/10 ill be seeing mice, cheese, and numbers in my dreams for a while.

I played an entire run at once and chose to play it like a real drinking game. I took a shot every time I drank in the game and by the end I was properly wasted. I wont go into why that's both a great and painful idea but you should find out yourself. Yes the game had some bugs with voice lines overlapping each other but I just took my time to let the NPC's talk before walking around and it solved the issue. One run was about 5 hours later with solid replay-ability. Genuinely funny, might not be the right humor for everyone but it was for me. Great game to stream to friends while playing.

Such a simple dungeon crawler with a plethora of unique content scattered all over the game. Every character has rules unique to them that changes how you play the game entirely. 6 characters, 6 episodes per character, thats a lot of stuff.

Wow this game keeps getting more and more unbalanced as they try to fix a garbage fire that used to be a golden garbage fire.

I bought this game for full price during the summer sale (and that stings) but it's totally worth it. I used to compare this to Life is Strange, but it's so much more. I actually feel personally connected to every character and the struggles they have went through.

You play as a college drop-out who went back to her home town to get back her old life of fun and "crimes". However, she soon realizes that everyone and everything has changed. People have left/are leaving soon and she feels the weight of growing up on her shoulders.

Play this game.

This game has increased my love for spreadsheets and planning. I have so much fun finding the best crop to plant and calculating exactly how much money I'll get at the end of the season!

I cant Stress how much i love this game. The first game (the binding of isaac) was a great game. But then they made this masterpiece.
-new bosses
-new items
-new rooms
-new floors
-new mechanics
-new characters
The list goes on and on and on.

The actual game itsself is randomized. and to get the full extent of the game, you need to beat it multiple times (its hard at first, but you get used to it)
And the more you play it, the more stuff you unlock to either make the game harder or easier or even more fun!
you can easily wast 700 hours of you life on this game. Its endless fun.
