Really great VR game. The "three layer" approach to combat (real body, player model, mech model) helps keep you engaged even when you're being limited by the finite strength of the arms. The game is pretty physical - I work up an incredible sweat, and I can't say there's ever been more than one exercise that I want to keep doing even when I'm sore the next day.

The developers have taken great advantage of the equipment options to affect your play style. One game might have you beating on the ground and clapping your hands together to buff yourself, another you might end up specializing in grabbing things to help you punch them in the face. There's a lot of flash choices you have to make - if you have two enemies leaping at you, can you swat them both at the same time or do you dodge out of the way?

The game isn't perfect: Linearly speaking, the content is pretty limited - there's only about a dozen fights featuring about a dozen enemies. This gets alleviated by your experience and playstyle adapting run-to-run, and they also bring in new toys to play with every run. The developers have put a lot of work into helping players stay aware of their surroundings (there's good use of spatial audio and the "coach" character), but the claustrophobic FOV of most headsets can still make it really frustrating when enemies start getting around you.

I experienced some extra difficulties with my Windows Mixed Reality (WMR, Windows MR, Samsung Odyssey+) headset. The default keybinding isn't complete and the command names aren't really clear. ANY TIME YOU TRY TO SAVE A CONFIG WITHOUT ALL REQUIRED CONTROLS, STEAM CONTROLLER MAPPING WILL CRASH - this appears to be more of a steam issue than the game devs. The physics also get's pretty whacky when controllers aren't being actively tracked, but that's probably more on Microsoft and the hardware as well.

Early Access Review
Absurdly good game. It's an fps with very deep gameplay, so much more than the simple point-and-click of most shooters.
