I invited him for a Deep Stone Crypt, and he was able to bait me into giving him fireteam leader by telling me about a glitch that would occur that the fireteam leader had to do. So I gave him fireteam leader and apparently the glitch was removing me from the fireteam?

We were at Taniks' Final Stand when I was booted, he said that a random person always gets booted but now I have a red dot on my Raid.Report and I couldn't find anything about the glitch online.
