game is fine. not great, just fine. but was left with a pretty bad taste in my mouth after trying a 'free weekend' which isnt a free weekend, its a limited demo. but thats not all, it makes a big deal on the character creator about trying the spiritborn class. now you might think that giving you access to dlc content in the demo is a cool thing to do. but you'd be wrong. cause after i got booted out of the game, i thought i might just buy the game seeing as its on special and i was semi interested in the story.
but wait right there, my character is now not only locked behind buying the game, but ALSO buying the DLC.
Nice trick. get people to sink a reasonable amount of time into something to start triggering that sunk cost feeling, and the desire to not feel like you just wasted 6 hours, and encourage them to take a class that is also locked behind the dlc.
Thats some pretty gross and deliberate manipulation and i wont recommend a game whos devs are trying to use my psychology against me in such a grotty way.
