The game has been out 5 years and is basically in the same state it was at release. Go check the updates and see how there's 1 update per year at most. Check the reviews and see how many have played 3 hours or less. There's barely anything here.

Barony is a nearly perfect co-op game. Familiar traditional rogue-like elements are simplified for a first-person action perspective, but also have deeper mechanics which reveal over time. Every gameplay element is thoughtfully balanced and implemented, and DLC adds even higher-level gameplay at a reasonable price.

The only catch is that it's more balanced for co-op, so single players especially will have a much harder time than a group. Playing by yourself is basically hard mode.

The game currently has a few different ways to fight in the arena, the default is endless enemies of a certain type. That being said, it's a fast paced and accurate VR fighting game. I particularly like the realistic graphics and the lack of clipping. You smash your weapons against enemies, armor breaks and limbs fly off. The pace keeps you fighting until you are physically too tired, even if there is no higher gameplay goal. The fights are fun, fast and satisfying, and the game updates every couple weeks at the time of this review. Cool game nice job

Fun and silly. Ironically one of the most immersive VR games because you can look down and see your body and legs, and the arms are connected too. I hope the developer adds more minigames or goals to achieve, because it is basically a sandbox, but is well-made and enjoyable- just don't expect more than a drunken bar fight.
