Despite its furry exterior, this is actually a pretty well crafted BR game, with a couple of gameplay ideas that remind me of classic Counter Strike at times.
The biggest upside of this game is that the matches go by BLAZING fast! Not to mention, even the Super Free edition is more than enough to play by yourself or with friends (granted, you're gonna need Discord to group up with buddies if you're a free user).

Besides, it's also cute as h*ck

Quite possibly the best collectathon in history. Great levels, great music, quirky and loveable characters, and above all else: EXCELLENT movement and gameplay.
You can just fire up one of the Free Roam stages and run around aimlessly for the only purpose that it feels fun and it feels good to move around.

Finally, all the Tetris players are gone! EVERYBODY IN THE POOL!!
The only apparent issue is the below-average netcode, but hey! At least the matchmaking isn't utter crap this time around!
If you're a diehard Puyo player who'll do their best to climb up the ranks, then what are you waiting for?! Buy it!
If you're looking for a story mode or some other fun game modes like in previous installments, you might wanna look someplace else, or play any of the previous games instead.

Side note: it seems that Sega finally decided to take matters into their own hands with the PC port instead of outsourcing it to BitBabboon. It's immediately noticeable with the more uniform UI and lack of glitches.

Do you miss Virtual On, and don't mind playing it on a 2D plane?
Do you think giant rock boulders are a way better weapon than laser beams and explosives?

If you answered Yes to any of these questions, then AoS2 is for you.

Ahh, that's more like it! They finally squished out all the mayor underlying bugs in this game. NOW you can truly experience a (so far flawless) experience now!

As a biased Puyo fan, of course I'm gonna recommend. It's fun and easy to learn, but hard to master.

...oh, and Tetris is still a thing somehow.
The only complaints I have are that the music won't loop properly and some characters' lines have been swapped around during their spells. Nothing that can't be fixed via patches.
If you have the Switch or PS4 versions, stick to them as so far they're the best ones around, but if ya don't have them, or ya wanna face against an even larger playerbase, then by all means go for it!

Truly the best blend of an ArcSys fighting game and a Dragon Ball game we all needed. Easy to learn, hard to master: the way any good, self-respecting fighting game should be.
Anyone who says Xenoverse is better has a special place in HIFL.

Do you like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta?
Do you like playing that on a 2D plane while hordes of woodland monsters assault you from all directions?
Do you like to hold the line against said hordes of monsters, protecting precious areas?
Do you wanna live your dreams of playing as a smol fairy loli who can kick your ass six weeks from Sunday?

If you answered yes to any of those, then you definitely wanna buy this game.
And don't forget: There's an endless mode after you beat the game!
