Generally I do not pay full price for games as I have way too many of them to get through. When I found out about this one, I went to the Humble Store and bought it to get the Steam key. That is just one example of how great I think this game is.
At first glance, it doesn't seem like much. The graphics make it look like it was released two decades ago, the game is pretty short, and the fanbase can be aggravating. However, all of this can be said of the Super Nintendo game Earthbound, and I love that game too. You can set aside these issues because the writing is great, the characters are memorable, and the game is designed to take advantage of the interactive medium and assumptions you bring to the experience.

Oh yeah, and you get to pet a dog. More than one dog even. Definitely worth full retail cost.
