Rage is an unspoken word in my vocabulary
Spoken only when addressing the band
But most the time I address it to myself
Rage, the giver to life or harsh reality
That no matter how much you fight this word
It will always swing back and hit you in the face
Hitting harder and harder each time
Finding a new way of hitting you
Boomeranging back-and-forth
Chasing you threw your dreams like Freddy Kruger
Cutting you down at your happiest moment
Helping back up your worst nightmare
Chasing away the ones you love as it possesses your body
Making you lash out at people you hold dear
This word starts wars that can’t be finished
Ends peace that was said to forever hold
Poisoning our youths mind with corrupt images
Of pain, blood, sweat and tears if the innocent,
Of the unnamed, lying lifeless on the floor...
All this came about from just one word...
