This is everything I wanted it to be and more. If you're a fan of the series, this is worth buying. It comes with lost levels that were never fully developed, outtakes and more bonus content on top of the remaster. Game runs smooth and the sounds are good for the most part, controls are pretty well placed. You can shift from old to new graphics on the fly and during cutscenes which is a major plus for me and you can turn on and off a compass that doesn't feel too invasive (or helpful) it's kinda just there for emotional support, and the hints as well can be turned off. As a fan of the old game, the hints are probably well needed for newer players to the series, some of the puzzles are far from clear, but that's ok, because hints are optional. Good experience. Need more Soul Reaver content.

Solid Soulslike game with tight game play and even tighter skill checks. The game slowly teaches you how guarding and parrying works, and builds up enough challenge to make sure you absolutely understand it. After the second boss, the game felt a lot easier and more enjoyable. The world is rich with texts and descriptions fit for a souls game, and there's enough ambiance for 2 universes here, though it is a bit linear. I didn't mind. All in all this is a game I would recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic soulslike experience that's leaning into the bloodborne sekiro territory of combat, in the best kind of way.
