To the Moon is the most heartbreakingly beautiful story I've ever played. It's equal parts tears of sadness and joy. It's Eternal Sunshine meets What Dreams May Come with a splash of Inception. The writing is unparalleled. I feel like my heart has been through a wringer. The story will likely stick in my brain for the rest of my life. This is an archetype of what games can aspire to be. BUY IT.

Before playing this game, I'd read opinions that it was the best 'Walking Dead' story in any medium so far. After playing this, as well as its 400 Days DLC, and having watched the show as it aired and read a good number of the comics, I will say that I agree with this sentiment. There's something to having the agency to make the hard decisions the way you would if you were leading your own band of survivors. Would you be ruthless? Kind? Would those decisions matter? Just what lines can be crossed while still maintaining a semblance humanity? You get to decide these things. With their brilliant writing and excellent voice-acting, Telltale games has really nailed the brutality of having to survive at the end of the world. This is easily the best story of any game I've played to date. This is the game that shows the narrative potential of games to be at least on par with, if not exceed other mediums like films and novels.

This game, while only around an hour and a half in length, is an intriguing take on game narrative. It's quite an unsettling experience (though not full on horrifying), and relies heavily on your imagination and interpretation to fill in the visual and auditory sparseness. I believe this game is worth your time.

You guys need to be playing this game. It will screw up your brain. It's probably the most creative game I've ever played and worth every single penny.
