I'm a big fan of the Hitman series; I have almost 200 hours in Absolution and about 100 in Blood Money. This Hitman doesn't live up to either one.

In Absolution, we lost the more tactical game that Blood Money provided. Absolution was very cinematic, but I found it a little hard to adjust at first. This game goes back to the Blood Money style, so if you like that, then that's a positive.

However, this game was incredibly short. I completed it in about 8 hours, and that was taking my time. The AI don't seem to be very smart, the look and feel is nowhere near Absolution, and I found the progression system annoying. In order to play a contract on a harder difficulty or use various weapons or locations, you have to have already beaten the mission several times. I like my first playthrough to be the way I want to play, so I found that frustrating.

The ESP instinct felt way overpowered, as you could see your targets through walls from across the map. Granted, you can turn in completely off, but you can't turn it down.

A lot of the gameplay mechanics, like getting frisked, seem to be things that were added last minute. You can conceal weapons in trash cans to avoid them being dectected in a frisk, but, in my playthrough, I got frisked all of one time. A lot of mechanics feel this way where they go largely unutilized.

Unfortunantly, this game just makes me want to play Blood Money.

I don't want to speak out of turn, but, like, this game is just not good. It's repetative, AND THAT'S FINE, but come on. Like, if I wanted to play the same thing for 8 hours, I'd become a mechanic and fix generators in real life. Doing that, I could easily make $1000/week.

This game is horrible and repetative, but cheap and ridiculous enough get if you've got a friend to play it with.

I got this game as part of a deal on the Humble Bundle, so I did not pay full price for it. That being said, I really enjoyed this game. It's a point and click story game that reminded me of Pajama Sam and Putt-Putt, just more adult. The story is interesting, the art style pleasing and aesthetic, and the OST is relaxing and enjoyable. I look forward to playing the rest of the games in the series and would recommend that anyone who likes this type of story game give The Journey Down a try!

OutDrive is a relaxing game that is great to play in the background while you talk to friends. The retro landscape and music is nice, and it's easy to be lulled into a calm space.

That being said, this game is very repetitive. Once you've played for 7 minutes, you've played the entire game. The track you drive on is one big loop, and nothing every changes. If you crash, it is very easy to start going again before you fail (where you clearly should), so there is virtually no challenge to this game. This game offers very rudimentary car physics, and it's easy to spin out from tapping the edge of the map or going from 0 to 60 in a way that just feels off. This game offers poor controller support, although, with the steam controller, it can be configured. Other than that, there is no way to edit the controls.

At $2.99, this game is not worth it. I got it in a sale for $0.30 and I'm happy with that. If it goes on sale, I'd recommend it. At $2.99, buying it will leave you full of regret.
