Not bad for $10, but also not worth it. A grab at $5 sure. Beat the game in 9 hours. The perks and trees have a ton of collision. For example, there ascension perks that allow a specific suicide unit to no longer suicide, but instead throw bombs. Other ascension perks allow explosions to kill your other units. Using the bomb perk means other units no longer die from the explosions. Perhaps a bug? Maybe. Either way, there are a ton of these perk collisions, and the way the trees are set up, you are forced to dump points into perks that may or may not be applicable to your selected play style. The entire system, the ascension/evertree seems rushed and not well planned.

No infinite depth mode to inspire me to keep going or modifying my build.

First, let me say the game has real potential, and there are many games that are in early access that are much worse. It is combining aspects of Factorio, Planet Crafter, and Satisfactory. They made many improvements over those games on the related concepts. Plenty of fanboys to talk about the good stuff though, so I will not.

In the games current state, after 14 hours, I will not continue playing it. I am fine with loosing my inventory on death and having to retrieve it, but having 50% of all the items destroyed in the process, ♥♥♥♥ that. This could easily be fixed with a configuration setting.
Eating 1 item at a time because a hot bar does not exist? Nope.
I did not get far enough to get into the base attacks. I made it to tier 5 in research across all the companies before I decided I was not interested in playing it anymore.
There are several places to fall through the map (I have found 7 so far), especially along the rocky bases of the mountains.
Many resource nodes are hidden away underground (not a big deal except H3), and these are just the H3/Igna ones I can see because they have particle effects.
The starting game eating/drinking process is by far the worst experience with this mechanic in any game I have played, ever. "Crafted" food being locked above T6, no thanks.
The wave concept is not a bad alternative to the typical night and day cycle, just wish it was explained somewhere, prior to dying to it the first time because I did not know it existed.
The UI is a work in progress, at best.
I am glad they turned off the banter, that was annoying as hell.
Defenses from what I read are super lacking and manual, especially for an automation game, and further discourage me from wanting to continue on.

I want to reiterate that the game has tremendous potential. Hell, I bought it for 5 friends at the same time.
I would say it has great performance, but my machine did not struggle with MH:Wilds on Ultra at 4k either, so I cannot really comment.

An Idle game that I have to keep running is not an idle game. If you are expecting an Idle game, this is not it. Granted, for what it is, it was worth the small price of admission. Dev drastically changed the game in the middle of my play-through for balancing reasons. It took me nearly 4 days of running it 24/7 to get through the content. If I had to play all that active, I would not have made it anywhere near the end.

However, as I stated, I had to run it the entire time. If you shut the game off, it does not calculate anything upon return, which is why, in my opinion, it is not an idle game.

Terrible starting experience. I spent 20 minutes looking for fiber, required from flax plants, and could not find any. The microscopic inventory was also terrible to try and deal with. Hated every second of this game because of it (seed or not, terrible experience).

Update: I left my original review up top. Turns out there is "search" feature which was bugged when I played. 80 hours later, I am still playing. Game is fantastic and one of the most enjoyable survivalcraft games I have every played. While the AI could use improvements (such as not bringing seeds back and throwing them on the ground in base), overall, the experience is pleasurable. I just completed my 5th winter and still much to be discovered.

This port is terrible. It has crashed on me 6 times in 3 hours of gameplay. I am on the latest nvidia drivers and there is 0 reasons why my 4000 series GPU should not be handling this, other than terrible port.

Edit: With an additional 7 hours of troubleshooting and Googling, I got it playable (in about 1 hour increments), but unacceptable, and still freezes. Fullscreen mode, with Win 8 compat mode, with medium level graphics means I do not crash because of shaders anymore. It looks like terrible donkey poop. There are
0 excuses why my 4080 16GB card can not handle this. Per GPU-Z, the games crashes out-of-memory when my GPU has only used 9GB of RAM. I have 96 GB of system memory. My rig should more than be able to handle this game.

Excellent game! Fun to play alone or with friends.

Game is riddled with bugs, especially in late game. For an exponentially scaling game, having 0 overflow handling means eventually, the game becomes broken beyond fixing (even Rebirth and Ascension cannot fix it). Use candies to advanced time frequently comes with consequences of losing items, secrets, etc.

The developer has 0 interest in fixing this game. I cannot recommend.
