A divine bullet-hell that is Zelda-like with its wonder, exploration and whimsy. Very special and artful little experience that's quite tough but short and you can see the dev's passion in everything you touch in the game.

I Write Games Not Tragedies is a charming time capsule into the past and present of an aging elder emo. It explores addiction in thoughtful and engaging ways while also depicting someone having a crush on the most beautiful boy in the world with the most beautiful green eyes (a sensation I’m sure many of us have had) you’ve ever seen. I Write Games Not Tragedies is a real one.

insertdisc5 continues the trend from In Stars and Time, delivering the goods and providing weird, cool and queer characters that occupy my brain 🙏

I haven’t even been able to get past the second floor of this game and still it is the best game of its ilk. It’s more demanding of the player and more visually unique and exciting.

Where Only Up, Chained Together and even Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy are arguable asset flips, Ascending Inferno is thoughtfully designed in environments and obstacles. It’ll charm you endlessly even when you plummet further into the depths of the underworld in your attempted ascent out.

A raw queer story without the edges rounded off and made softer. Never delving into misery porn and remaining palpable and real, HITM3's emphasis on queer community and defiance is stellar and a must-play experience.

I'm normally one for chill games where you settle in and learn a cast of characters but all the interactions were a bit ho-hum and it felt like I was going through the motions throughout

I never like talking down on games but this is just a mess of a product. Ridiculous performance issues and a weak and baffling plot make this not worth your time. At all.

Charming, wonderful music and some neat little surprises along the way. Quite a solid way to kill a few hours
