I've really been enjoying my time with Arc Raiders, and me and several friends have been actively playing for the last season. I think if the extraction shooter genre interests you, but the idea of a hardcore experience like a Tarkov feels like to much to handle this is a really accessible medium option that has good bones from a more competitive and hardcore perspective. I think the rate of content coming out, maps, quests, etc is also really compelling and bodes well for the future of this game.

I think the only thing I am still a bit skeptical on is the long term end game content, right now it feels like there isn't a wide variety of endgame stuff to do, and you're really only expected to wipe and restart when you feel like you've done everything. So I'd love some more options for late game that feel worthwhile to accomplish.
Also the quests are a bit on the boring side, and more checklist like that anything. If you're not into the combat or the looting aspects this game may not interest you, but I think it handles both well!

Really pleased with this game!

If you're reading this and don't have a friend group to play with currently but are interested in the mechanics, know that they are really solid and doing solo runs or achievement hunting is really rewarding in it's own right.
Also the multiplayer is incredibly solid, it feels fun and breezy with friends in the way a co-op game should! Honestly an extremely solid buy at $8, and I am glad that there are games like this that have really solid mechanics, are inexpensive, and fun to play with friends are available. Kudos to the devs, and I hope this success continues for both teams who made this!

Genuinely one of the most fun co-op shooters since Left 4 Dead. Really understands what are compelling mechanics and challenges in a PvE shooter. If you want something to play with friends and are interested in a fresh take on this genre, then there are few ways better to spend $40 for hundreds of hours of fun.
This game does have some issues with glitches and bugs you are assured to run into, however there are a steady stream of updates near weekly, so if you see something it's probably on the way to being fixed. I think that the game has friendly fire and that you are expected to die even when playing well it takes a lot of the sting out of a glitched death for me so I just let a lot of stuff roll off my back in the game where it might bother me more in other games.
I think the monetization model is super fair in this game and honestly unless you don't want to wait a little to gather the super credit (premium currency) during missions or unlock them via the free or paid warbonds (battle pass) then the warbonds are good value and aren't pay to win but can have fun new guns or cool looking armors or other cosmetics. Just overall a fresh monetization scheme that feels fair and you only have to pay if you want to get something right this second otherwise you get a really steady stream of currency just from playing.
Honestly if you want to support a cool team trying to make something fun and interesting in this space then this is the game for you especially if you want to squad up. However I have done dozens of hours even on the higher difficulty missions with randos and it has been pretty good for like 90% of people with few issues. So solo or a 4 man is still an enjoyable experience. So drop in Helldiver!
