This experience is characterized by a very subjective opinion.
However, this subjectivity is offset by the accumulated hours of active play.
So I can say that this game is about a successful title from 2012 and has steadily improved.
Initially, performance was in the foreground as hardly anyone had a computer that was able to play the game as it does today.
The range of mods and variation in game modes was also rather poor.

Through community developments
A large number of projects were generated that are impressive. Especially the people who have created an alternative world for others in their free time, so that they can do whatever they want is admirable.
So there is something for every taste.
From the classic MilSim to the building game, everything can be found. Due to the rich detail, hours and hours of development and playing of the individual mods can be put into it.
As far as the player base is concerned, arma also offers a wide range of weekend rambos, bank robbers to people who set up and run their own platoons and regiments.
However, it should be mentioned that not every player is compatible with everyone, as some take the game too seriously and no longer differentiate between real and virtual. So sometimes there is a serious need for clarification between the factions (greetings to all supporters of the RPG servers, you're doing great).
All in all it was / is a game that a lot has been made of and I hope that when a sequel comes along it will be just as successful.
