It's a great rogue-like that blends elements of Castlevania, Metroid, and Dark souls into a very enjoyable rogue-like.

If you've ever been curious what it is like to be a Russian border patrol worker this is the game for you. It presents many ethical dilemmas, and really does feel like being trapped in an excessive ever-changing beauracracy (which is a mixture of fun and frustrating). If you go into the game knowing this it'll be fun. But don't expect it to be fun, otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed.

Runs terrible on AMD CPUs. For this reason the game was somewhat annoying for me. I would say only get it if you have Intel, or are willing to do some googling and trouble-shooting. Fantastic game from what I could experience, but the AMD CPU FPS issues really took a lot of wind out of my sails for it.

Don't hate the game, hate the creator. The game is a masterpiece. However much of a big baby Phil Fish may be on twitter, the game is brilliant and beautiful. The map is one of the best in any game I've ever played. The rotation mechanics are done masterfully. The controls are tight, and the aesthetic is great. The game really is extremely good in many respects. It's a highly cognitive game, that requires a lot of intuitive thought (and sometimes some google searches) to really solve all the puzzles.

9.5 / 10- would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the genre. Though I would say it's a little daunting for anyone who is not a 2d puzzle enthusiast.

Beautiful 2d platformer with very unique and cool mechanics. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something in the genre. Superior to Braid in my opinion.

Extremely fun. The games different everytime you play, so it keeps it fresh. Randomly generated maps further add to the replayability.

The game has no real objective or story apart from progressing through the ever increasingly stages. The stages are really difficult too (or sometimes not). Best with a controller, but not unplayable without one.

2d platformer with an insanely high skill ceiling. Very challenging, so not for the faint of heart. The execution and controls are perfect (though much better with controller rather than keyboard, both of which I have tried). It is a perfect game for what it intends to do. Music, graphics, cutscenes, escalating difficulty, all are perfect.

Perfect action FPS RPG hybrid. Great alone, or with friends. Game slows down upon completing first play through, but still the game is one of the best of the year for 2012.

2d minecraft is the best way I understand it. Unlike minecraft though the game changes dynamically as you progress. The items, styles of play, and exploration changes each time you play. It starts off slow, but once it gets going, it is thoroughly engaging and hundreds of hours of fun (especially with friends).

One of the best games I have ever played. The more you play, the more you learn. The complexities are slowly revealed, even after 700+ matches I still discover new mechanics. Will go down as one of the most well made, well designed, best competetive multiplayers games ever made. It is a legend, and Valve has done a fantastic job with it so far (apart from rare mishaps, which have since not been repeated).
