All of a sudden this game requires the paradox launcher and a paradox account - WHY?

WHY DO I NEED A ******* PARADOX LAUNCHER?

This is a fantastic game, and I believe you should really play it. However, if you didn't buy it before Paradox got it, you should find other ways to get it without supporting Paradox. Would absolutely give a thumbs up if it wasn't for paradox, their launcher and their DLC schemes.

This game was great long ago, but is rubbish since the updates in the last year (2016).

Early Access Review
Pro: challenging game. if you can imagine it, you can build it. Doesn't get boring, lot's of ways to play it.
Con: you will fail exams. might lose your job if you keep playing it when you should get work done

ArmA 3 continues the ArmA series, of which I owned every game in the past. The graphics got a boost, along with a new, rather large, map. Even after finishing the game, the steam workshop content will allow you to continue playing, with entire new gamemodes, campaigns, islands, ... . Almost all OFP / ArmA / ArmA 2 maps are available as an addon.
ArmA 3 is the first game in the series to get DLC. You get the mechanics of every DLC for free, leaving only the actual items to buy. The DLC are nice-to-have options, but are in no way required to play the game. With over 400h of playtime, it's still a true favorite!
