its ok

Really cool aesthetic, simple but impactful character action gameplay, and very simple roguelike level design. Feels like majority of the work was on aesthetic and fighting mechanics. "Simple but it feels good". Recommend, but pick it up on a sale.

Bite size horror game. You can't kill anything and you're expected to stumble around in the dark trying not to panic. Great vibes! Wish it was longer but what's there is immaculate horror.

A great followup to the original Hollow Knight. The aesthetic, music, and characters are very charming!

It's a good zombie-filled RPG game, and the gameplay is good, often cinematic, and what can be expected from a Playstation title. That's not what this review is for.
There was one thing that made me buy this game, and it was ZOMBIE HORDES. I was sold on this game as soon as I saw the first gameplay trailer showing the protagonist navigating an abandoned sawmill while managing the zombie horde that was keeping pace with him.
So that's what I'm going to review.
-There are several hordes to find in the world, and a few missions involve them too
-The hordes are fun to fight, and you can get creative with environment interactables as well
-The game did a good job of intimidating me out of fighting them until I was ready
-Once you get late game equipment, most overworld hordes are more tedious than enjoyable
-Most overworld hordes have similar boring locations, and are just a question of stamina management and kiting zombies, not many interactables unless you drag the horde to where there are red barrels to shoot, or etc
-Horde fighting was enjoyable, and a nice end-game objective
I'm sure you might be able to fight the hordes sooner, but I didn't start hunting them down until they appeared on the map.

Great game to play casually. The timer that is always counting down gives me anxiety though.

I'm too lazy to write a proper review so here goes:
It's like L4D but with heavier emphasis on melee combat, with ranged weaponry being saved for use against the vermintide (hordes), special rats, or rat ogres. Levels are inconsequential past level 30 as the only rewards you get are predetermined drops (check the wiki) that are of plentiful quality (no special traits). The loot system is basic and if you were already good at the game, you could probably get a legendary drop pretty quickly. With 21 hours, I already have most of my equipped gear as exotic quality (2nd highest quality in game). Player base is notoriously low, but serviceable, and as this is a cooperative game, that matters greatly. I don't think things are going to change much, except maybe grinding for a hat or more powerful weapon. I am missing two DLC map packs.

Also, I might not know the best meta yet, so go easy on me if you do.

GET THIS GAME FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS AND IT'LL BE AWESOME OR JUST BUY IT YOURSELF IT'S GOOD
