The best platform fighter on the market, and it is just starting out.

Free DLC until the end of the road map. Workshop is being added later for custom 3-D assets.

Especially welcoming for it's many control options. You will find something that works comfortably one way or another.

Then you will get super-wrecked. It's a really hard game.

This on it's own, in this small span of time has made this my favorite platform game.

It has everything I want in this genre, and some stuff I never really considered before.

As has been mentioned many times, I can confirm that this game has gone from being one of my fondest favorite fighting games to being completely worthless immediately.

The last two characters had so much potential too. Now they are a stain on what was an incredible product made with love and care.

Modus / Maximum - the bottom line is the bottom line and money is the reason games are even made a lot of the time, this one wasn't strictly that. You have ruined a precious and beautiful thing and I hope your conscious allows you to feel bad about that.

Thanks so much for making this available on Steam.

I know a lot of people won't get why this is here and it's not for them. If you played Action Quake 2 then this is for you.

Just more modern and it generally works better.

Although I'm very disappointed with the developer's choice to censor the sexual content in this game AND this DLC does NOTHING to restore the original content I admit it's still a very nice hat.

I'm sure someone will make a mod to remedy this mistake anyway in due time.

Unbfortunately like many Platinum games this game has framerate issues that are not a minor problem, luckily there is a fan fix called silentpatch (https://cookieplmonster.github.io/2020/05/16/silentpatch-wonderful-101/) with this on a capable PC it is maybe Platinum's finest hour. I know there's a high bar to clear here - consider the following.

A nigh-flawless port of one of Platinum's best games, finally free from the constraints of the Wii-U. Mouse and Keyboard enabled and the implementation is good.

Typical of a platinum game you will be confused, you will feel vulnerable and off balance, yet when it all clicks together just hold on for a wild ride that goes well above and beyond what other games like this..

Actually there is no game like this. A mix of.. Pikmin? ..Platinum style character action and.. RTS micromanagement and platforming.. adventure? I has often been referred to as a sequel to Viewtiful Joe internally and that distinction holds true throughout the game. In addition it takes many concept from all of Platinums previous games, even borrowing copncepts from Clover's catalog.

Whatever it is, it's not something you can afford to miss whether you consider yourself anything from a novice to hardcore gamer. Indispensable.

Overall I think this is the best port of an existing fighting game to Steam. It is either perfectly accurate or improved from the original in every way plus the addition of flawless netplay where after every match both players CAN CHOOSE THEIR IDEAL DELAY. Why more games don't have option this I will never know.

$10 is a very paltry price for such a juggernaut of a title.

Update: There is a weird amount of censorship in this game. Most people won't notice but be aware that Seppuku doesn't work with any method I tried, any fatalities that involve skulls have been changed (Kusaregedo burps blood, Tam-Tam's beam of light is fast and no skulls fall) and stuff like Suija's fatality WORKS and the blood rain falls, but it doesn't color his sprite red as he's literally being showered in it.

I ABSOLUTELY still recommend the game despite this strange foible which I assume is to standardize it for the console releases.

UPDATE: The censorship only happens in practice mode. Everything else works outside of it.
