Great AA/Indie CRPG. Fun adjustable Battle system similar to Shin Megami Tensei but not as punishing due to the mechanics. Choices matter and are reflected in the story. Interesting world that gives you insight into the machinations and politics of early 20th century Poland. Being able to interact with so many different strata of the populace between Trade Unionists/Capitalists, Whorerers/Officials and Religious groups really enrich the existing world. Thaumaturgy abilities as pseudo science taken seriously made for a compelling power system.

I really wanted like this game so much. I love what I've played from the SMT series between Persona, Devil Survivor, TMS and SMT so I was really excited to play soul hackers 2. After Persona 4 Golden came to PC, I purchased it day one because I wanted to show that these games could have a successful life on PC. I did the same with SMT3HDR. So when a new game was announced and it was revealed that it was coming to PC day 1 I jumped on the train with no hesitation considering I've loved every title I've had the pleasure of playing in the past. Soul Hackers 2 isnt a horrible game, its not bad but its not good either. It's just the epitome of mid. I can appreciate the characters but I feel like a lot of the game is just a chore to play and feels more like a grindy clicking sim or manager than a strategic high stakes turn based jrpg that other games in the series capture the feel of. There are just too many other good and great games that actually deserve my time. I think Ringo, Milady, Saizo and the enemy Kaburagi are interesting characters that just deserve to be in a better game. I think most of the reason I even have this much time on the game is because I feel like it'd be a waste of $60 to drop it but with this review I'm over that feeling. Please do not buy this game at full price and even then get it on a serious discount. Just sad that this made me skeptical for the next new release from this team.

tl;dr: This game is a massive time sink. If you have literally nothing else good to play than maybe this could be interesting if you're really that bored and even then get it on a serious discount.

Probably the greatest open world game created. More mechanical depth than Skyrim. More story and world building than Breath of the Wild. none of the menial tasks from Assassin's Creed or Far Cry. Then somehow retains the promise of challenge like Fromsoft's previous titles with tons more accessibility.

ps if you just spam spells in pvp just refund the game

The biggest thing I dislike about this game is that I wasn't aware of it so much sooner. This game is like a great gangster shonen manga movie set across the vibrant living cities of Kamurocho and Sotenbori packed with tons of fun fights, over the top characters and some hilarious side quests. The story is one of deceit and betrayal as Kiryu Kazuma tries to defend his family and clan from attacks of enemies hidden and lurking all over. Fighting is fun, interesting and over the top for what i would consider a button masher but you have so many options it doesnt get boring. The Side Stories really liven up the game and bring a depth to the world and color the cast in a very admirable light. The Hostess Club and Clan Creator mini-games are more fun than you would expect and are definitely worth the time. I'd only say the DLC is not necessary but does help you alot through the Clan Creator Missions. If you had to play only 1 Yakuza game for the rest of your life Id say play Yakuza 0 because its a full comparable experince with no investment in the series necessary at all and only after knowing some the characters and history in the previous games does Yakuza Kiwami 2 become my favorite in the series. You can probably run through the game in like 20ish hours but the content in here can push anyone to 40-60 in a single playthrough and definitely not a horrible choice if you like this type of game and its on sale.

playing this simplified Yugioh is very intuitive and nostalgic of simpler times for the most part. There are F2P options but if you plan to play PVP a lot and very consistently you are probably going to be spending a ton on packs and the costs for card packs is very high imo. However as a fan of the game and anime I've had a blast playing and if you save the free gems for a month or two you should be able to invest in deck that'll last you for season or so and I've found that cycle to be fun for me at least.

Demo has everything you remember loving about the first game. 10/10 would play again.

Only issues:

Limited Options - Its like they ripped it straight off the PSVita then just swapped the controls for xbox. Its very playable with mouse and keyboard but it took some messing about that i feel shouldnt be neccessary.
