I know this game is free and I really want to like this game. I love the retro pixel graphics like the game's name sake Boltgun and the SFX sound good with good voice work for the character. However the game is on rails and so you have no ability to direct where the character goes and as such for some reason the game kept randomly stopping after a fight sequence and no matter what combination of keys I pressed the game would not move onward.

I love this game right now. It's a turn based tactics game where you don't get to choose who your characters attack, so it's all about positioning to optimize the best results. The art and character designs are cartoony and whimsical while the story and character personalites are surreal and offbeat. The soundtrack is one my most favorite things of all time with upbeat and high tempo offerings.

Even though Pit People is in early access there's a lot here to already enjoy.

This is a fantastic game. Side scrolling turned based combat with charcter positioning determing which skills and opponents to attack creates fantastic strategic choice. A superb graphic novel art design creates a superb gothic design that oozes with personality. I cannot recommend this game enough.
