At the start of my playthrough, I felt as if the map was way too overwhelming and easy to get lost in (in a bad way) which made exploration pretty frustrating. After a few hours though I got used to it and exploration genuinely became fun as opposed to a chore. Platforming is definitely the highlight of this game, movement is super smooth and precise, the levels are meticulously crafted and the attention to detail is remarkable. New platforming mechanics kept the levels fresh and engaging. Boss fights caught me by surprise in this game, they are all different, memorable, and not easy at all. Some fights were a challenge and learning their patterns and how to dodge was insanely fun. The cutscenes looked insanely cool and had a really clean animation, parrying felt very satisfying with a cinematic and immersive cutscene playing on key parries. It genuinely makes your character feel powerful. Overall I had a great time with this game and I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Metroidvanias with amazing platforming and fun combat.

After earning every achievement in the base game, I feel pretty qualified to give Cult of the Lamb a proper review. What immediately stood out to me is how unique the game feels. The progression is fast and constantly rewarding, and the colony management system is easily the highlight. Building and developing your cult, taking care of your followers, and optimizing your little community adds a huge amount of charm and keeps the gameplay loop engaging far beyond the dungeon runs.

The rogue-like combat and dungeon crawling are decent, but they’re not the game’s strongest aspect. The core formula is quite simple and doesn’t evolve much over time. While the moment to moment fighting can feel satisfying and the bosses look fantastic from a visual and thematic standpoint, most of the encounters are mechanically basic and not very challenging. That said, the final boss is clearly a exception as it delivers a much more dynamic and memorable fight that shows how fun the combat can be when it’s pushed a bit further.

Difficulty-wise, the game is very approachable and rarely demanding, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the loop rather than struggle through it. On top of that, Cult of the Lamb is overflowing with personality. Its art style, dark humor, and overall atmosphere give it a strong identity that makes it hard to confuse with anything else.

In the end, what truly makes the game shine is the colony management and the sheer amount of character it has. That’s where the experience becomes genuinely special and where I found most of my enjoyment.

This game is a masterpiece. It offers stunning visuals and a great story line to complement it. Venturing through this game felt like a unique and incredible experience, there were countless times where I noticed myself pausing just to appreciate the graphics, the sound, and finally the mechanics. When playing this game, you will feel so immersed,.The game is also very difficult. It puts you in situations where you need to think outside the box., its difficulty is some what of a souls game but in time you will get it done. You can even find a Lebanese man in your cupboard, wow! If you are looking for a story-rich game that you will spend time on then with no hesitation, I definitely recommend purchasing this.
