Just, the most calming game I've played all year. I think it really straddles the toy/game line very well too, the campaign mode has just enough strategic decision making to be engaging as a game while also having enough freedom to feel like a toy. Watching the scenes grow as you place plants and props is so rewarding, it really does feel like you're making a diorama and gardening all at once!

If you've ever looked longingly at terrariums or aquariums this game is absolutely for you

Never recomended anything before but ESA really knocked it out of the park and it needed to be rewarded

Honestly I don't think you'll find a better metroidvania game on steam

I mean it ACTUALLY being metroidvania puts it well above most things in the tag, but it easily shines on its own merits. The platforming is solid, the environmental challenges are good and the bosses are all unique and interesting. As someone who really likes the traversal aspect of platformers, I was psyched to find out that a lot of the upgrades are movement upgrades!

and its HARD, but a really good kinda hard. Bosses and traversal challenges range from tricky to BLISTERINGLY DIFFICULT but the tougher challenges always had a save point right there so you could jump right back into it.

also there's a grappling hook

the only real negative I have is that the ending is underwhelming, though it hardly even matters because then I just threw myself into the end game

anyway this game is rad and is heartily recommended
