Lots of fun even in 2023. All the great infantry gameplay and teamplay from its innovative release. BF4 set the standard for big team FPS games and no title has yet upped the bar. BF 2042, released 8 years later is only a side-grade to this great title. I just wished everyone in today's lobbies werent all level 140 haha.

This game is the bees knees. Havent had this much fun since BF4 launched. Very innovative team based gameplay mechanics with fun maps and hardcore gunplay. It maintains an easy drop-in and drop-out matchmaking. It pushes the player to be 'tactical' without any overbearing qualities so often found in shooters that push realism or tactical gameplay with their steep learning curve and a plethora of controls to master that shoo away the casual player.

maps are really open and combat is too fast compared to old titles. It does not have that cinematic feeling that encapsulates battlefield and separates it from other shooters like CoD. There was a delicate balance DICE held between realism and arcade gameplay in BF4 and BF1 which was not upheld in this title.

Every gun is seemingly a high-powered lazer beam or hillariously off meta, neither are satisfying to do well with. Vehicles have far too much control in the large open maps. I find myself returning to older weapons just to enjoy the gunplay, but then no longer able to top-frag to my dissapointment.

If Lost Planet 2 met Overwatch. Was hoping for more Lost Planet 2 but still a fun game and well put together. The A.I. is a bit creepy

Mixed. The story is fun, I want to keep playing it and progressing but I just cannot. The world is expansive, there is a lot in here to keep you busy, and I love the setting and atmosphere that reminds me of when I was a kid watching studio ghibli. However, the combat is very grinding and not-rewarding. My party members don't pick up any of the pace and die easily, whilst I run around as roland using my special abilities to end encounters. It gets old quick. Desperatley tried gearing up my party for them to be effective and not die to bosses constantly, to no avail.
