In the current state that this DLC is at, I would say hold off on buying it until bugs are fixed. The game is pretty much unplayable right now, and every single run I've had since the update has been filled with bugs - some even game breaking. I love this game so much, I do, but I've have had little to no fun ever since the update. Not to mention, they've made a few changes that myself, and a lot of other critics and content creators are not fans of. Either way, hopefully they roll out a patch soon to fix the bugs and revert some of the horrible gameplay changes.

Ima keep it 100 with this review. There are quite a few bugs in the game that I've encountered, a couple game breaking ones, but mostly very minuscule bugs. Bugs are expected during launch of most games, it's really inevitable, however that doesn't take away the extremely fun gameplay this game has to offer. The game is amazing, although I don't think its perfect YET.. it's very VERY close. I have faith in Techland, and I believe they will do all it takes in order to make this game as perfect as they can. The gameplay already is pretty damn smooth, and there are plenty of activities, encounters, quests, and TONS of collectables to keep you busy in this game. I've personally beaten the main campaign at around 32 hours, and that includes me doing some side quests and other things the game has to offer, and I can say it was quite worth every hour I spent.. and I'm about to start a second playthrough because I loved the experience so much. I can definitely say this game is more fun than DL1 and there are HUGE improvements to parkour, combat, and overall gameplay experience, although DL1 does have some things and mechanics that were better in my opinion. For example: at the moment of this review, there are problems with ragdoll effects when knocking enemies off of buildings.. in Dying Light 1, they would usually stumble when they get near the edge and fall off.. but in this game they tend to just kind of float off the edge towards the ground. I believe Techland has addressed this, as well as some other things that players have noticed and they plan to make a bunch of QOL improvements/additions which is fantastic. As I said though, this game is NEARLY perfect, and I know that Techland will get there with this game.. they won't let their fans down. There's more to come in the future of this game, and I'm super excited to be able to try all the new things they have in store, whenever the time comes. Right now though in the current state of the game, I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing it, especially if you were a huge fan of the first game.. I don't think you'll be let down. That's all from me, but just do yourself a favour... purchase the game, grab some snacks, and enjoy the experience. :)

I've played all the games individually prior to buying the Definitive Edition. All I can say is please play this series, it is hands down the most emotional and best series of games I've ever played. You get extremely attached to so many characters you meet within these games its unreal. The story is fantastic, the character development throughout the story is AMAZING, everything is just so perfect in these games (season 3 is debatable although still good, iykyk lol). Just PLEASE play these games if you haven't already, you will not regret it. 10/10

At one point in time I would've recommended this game, but it has not improved much since launch - I would even go as far to say that is has even downgraded since launch lol.

The game is EXTREMELY unbalanced, especially PvP where the same kit has been the meta for years now despite them even trying to balance it a little bit. PvE is better and has been improved on, but once upon a time it was HORRIBLY balanced.

There are also HUNDREDS of known bugs that the developers have not even tried to fix (there is an entire list of 'known' bugs on their website btw and there is actually hundreds), some of which have been there since the launch of the game 3-4 years ago.

Lastly, I know it's optional and you don't technically have to purchase anything, but the cosmetics and other micro-transactions are absolutely ridiculously priced. They put more work into their cosmetics and putting cosmetics out then they do trying to actually fix the game, its pathetic. Not to mention, the battlepass is the most expensive battlepass I've seen in any game - and when you'd normally get your money back in battlepasses with the in-game currency, you only get a FRACTION of it back in New World, not making it worth it at all.

I know I'm just one opinion and one review, but take my advice into consideration and stay away from this game at all costs, it's not worth it. It can be fun at times, but the cons weigh heavily over the pros in my opinion. The devs do not care, they never have, they just want your money.

This game in my opinion is hands down the best one of the series. I enjoyed every second of this story, and I would be lying if I said I didn't cry at all. Definitely an emotional roller coaster throughout the entire game. Literal perfection, please give this series a try
