haven't played in a minute but this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing.

wow. this is definitely one of the greatest games i have ever played, hands down the best RPG i have ever played. i put this game off for awhile because i knew if i started playing it i would probably be addicted and put a lot of time into it. i was right.

this has gotta be the most impressive game ive ever played and i think itll be VERY hard to top. well done larian.

december 2020: before the game was released i had high expectations but did not expect it to be perfect. despite the stupid bugs like your player getting launched across the map, the AI, and how poorly optimized it is, this game is really good. i tend to play more competitive first person shooters, but this game stood out to me with the amazing aesthetic of night city. the main story isn't the best if you just do it and no side missions. the side missions are where the world gets more interesting. there are so many unique characters and cool things you can do. even after finishing the game, i am still addicted playing finishing out all the side missions. i hope that cdpr work hard to improve the optimization and add dlc's that explore more of the world of night city. there is already a lot to do, but they could easily add a lot more content. i would say after my first play through i would give this game an 8/10. once the bugs and quality of life fixes happen this game could easily be 10/10.

may 2022: after 3 full playthroughs of each life path, multiple updates, lots of quality of life fixes, and an amazing anime. this game has become one of my favorite games of all time. the new dlc is expected to release sometime this year and i am very excited to see what cdpr will do and have more content to play. if i had to give any advice to new players or people who are considering getting this game. i would say you will not regret it if you like a great story, with great characters, an amazing map to travel, and more. the gunplay and player customization isn't perfect but it still is satisfying as you level up and acquire more cyberware. also if you are going to play, make sure you play the side jobs. my first playthrough i decided to do most of the story first and then once i got to the point of no return, i started to do most of the side jobs and most of the best moments from this game come from these. if you just decide to do the main story and nothing else, you will be missing out on some great story telling, amazing characters, and some crazy ♥♥♥♥ choom. this game isn't a 10/10 but it is very damn close. 9.5/10.

december 2023: wow, after another two playthroughs after phantom liberty, this game has exceeded every expectation in my eyes and patch 2.1 just released! the expansion was phenomenal and was worth the wait and the hype was real. night city is as beautiful and dark as always and the narrative of the new story just added so much more to the base game. the first mission in dogtown is a hell of an introduction and the main storyline jobs are very well done. one thing i also really enjoyed that i was not expecting when the expansion released, was the amount of detail and story behind the new gigs that were given. all of the gigs were very well done and added some more history and depth behind dogtown as well as the rest of night city. there is so much more i could talk about but like i have said previously in this review, i would recommend this game to anyone who is interested in an amazing story, as well as great visuals, worldbuilding, characters, and more. easily one of my favorite games i've ever played. HUGE props to CDPR for being so caring about this game and the community, as they continue to push out new updates to constantly fix bugs and glitches, as well as give us new material such as the most recent patch 2.1 which i have yet to play, but am eager to, which includes getting the awaited NCART rail system, radio on the go, new vehicles, and more. love this game easily a 10/10 for me. :)
