Disable all chat to make this remotely enjoyable.

It's still the pinnacle of what it's doing, like a hybrid of Street Fighter 2 and the Western FPS genre.

Just go watch a Let's Play and feel fully how awfully mediocre it is.
They removed some of the best mechanics, it's like they tried to remix things, but the changes make for a worse game.
Get Blood on GoG instead if you don't want to play yet another mediocre arena shooter.
Just return to Doom Eternal whenever you want your arena fix.
Besides, the gibs in this game are worse than Rise of the Triad despite 30 years of gib development since its release.

I'm about 30 hours in at this point.
I have to admit that I am playing on the lowest difficulty in Ironman mode.
It's slightly easy, but the permanency of my decisions keeps me on my toes.
I'm having a lot of fun, akin to my most fun playthroughs in the original Xcom 1.
This game would easily be worth 40 bucks.
