It's a lot of fun! Nice to play with friends too. I was fortunate to get it at a discount and it is well worth it.

There are lots of +s and -s, but here's some of them:

+ every hero differs from the other
+ every game is different
+ you can own and pwn sometimes
+ updates/patches are usually every month
+ more than just one gamemode
+ it's free

- bad communication among teammates here and there
- takes awhile to get even 'decent' at the game

I've played this game for over a year now. I haven't gotten tired of it yet.
If you're new to Dota 2, I recommend watching Purgegamers on Twitch or YouTube.
He's very insightful to Dota 2 and worth watching.

Overall, Dota 2 is awesome.
