This is one of the best games I've ever played.

That's it. That's the review.

This game is incredibly difficult, but in a good way. The movement mechanics are really fun and rewarding when you pull off sick acrobatic attacks.

The world is dense, macabre, and haunting. Offering critique on theocracy, duty, and labour exploitation - all while being presented as a game about silly little bugs.

Honestly more than worth the $20 price tag.

The story of a little white dude discovering how another little white dude messed up big time.

If you enjoy Metroid, or are an Entomologist, you'll probably love this game.

Grand Theft Auto IV might be my favourite Grand Theft Auto title.

Between the marked improvements to gunplay, driving, and open world gameplay, its difficult to explain just how transformative this game was over its predecessors back in 2008. There are some elements that feel dated by today's standards (The NPC/Enemy AI especially), but it doesn't detract from the overall experience.

The game's narrative hits hard with it's darker themes over the previous games, and puts a lot of effort into establishing memorable characters with rich backstories. Despite this, the game knows when to lighten up. This is especially true of The Ballad of Gay Tony, which serves as the game's 'victory lap' with some of the game's most fun and endearing content.

Overall, Liberty City is just as fun and exciting to explore as it was almost fifteen years ago.

Probably the best remake of Resident Evil 2 I could've hoped for. While the scenario system in this iteration is lacking compared to the original, the seamless level design of the Police Department more than makes up for it in my opinion. The survival horror elements of limited inventory space, tools to escape grabs, and scarce ammunition really heighten the tension.

Hope they tackle the first Resident Evil next!

A return to form, with all the throughput and polish that were expected in the initial release of Cyberpunk.

While it might not be exactly what the hype back in 2020 demanded of it, the redesigned skill system, and sheer amount of quality content make it really come close.

Hopefully they continue to build on this fantastic setting in future releases.

This almost constitutes a second game with the amount of content on display. Definitely worth the price of admission.

The new areas are varied in scope and design, with fantastic new boss fights (albeit with minor technical issues regarding performance) to learn and overcome. Countless new items to further build your current characters and build entirely new ones off of. And a well-told story that continues to do so by not explicitly telling.

Ultimately, Shadow of the Erdtree is an incredible epilogue to Elden Ring.

Bring on the next From Software title! <3

"Shh! Attack on my mark!"

Incredibly fun big team shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously, letting both teams have fun. There's an interesting attention to detail in the setting. Which while creating asymmetry between the factions, makes the roles and load-outs more diverse and unexpected.

Performance issues aside, this game is like a home-brew D&D session. A lot of the fun is in exploring the world and the antics you get up to with your party during your journey.

Having less skills than the first game can be a drag, I would've much preferred a compromise of six skills or something. This is exacerbated by the Warfarer vocation that could've had it's Rearmament skill be its own button instead of taking up a skill slot, however, I get its a trade-off to being able to use every weapon class. I'm sure some of these concerns will be addressed with the upcoming content patches, as have other criticisms so far.

The bottom line is that none of that takes away from how much fun the moment-to-moment gameplay is. If you enjoyed that combat from the first game, you'll likely enjoy this entry just as much.

Elden Ring is a *mostly* successful adaptation of the 'souls' genre to a larger, open-ended experience. That signature art design is on full display this time around, and once again, remains untouchable in how familiar yet unique it makes itself.

The setting for this entry is much more recent in comparison to the more post-apocalyptic kingdoms the developer's other games are set in. It feels like you play a more significant role among a fading era of heroes and demigods than their previous titles. Incredibly atmospheric.

Most issues regarding game 'balance' are subject to individual opinion. Most issues can be solved by improving your health and defence attributes accordingly, and gaining a grasp on how the player-versus-player aspects of the game differs from the player-versus-environment game play.

Regardless, this game is pretty up there in terms of a glowing recommendation. It's a solid Action Role-playing Game, from a company that has been killing it for more than a decade.
