Recommended (7.5/10)👍

Ruined King surprised me with how strong its story is. It does an excellent job of expanding the League of Legends universe, letting you truly connect with and understand the characters in a way that isn’t possible by playing LoL. Each character feels well-written and meaningful, which makes the narrative engaging from start to finish. Except for Miss Fortune, I didn't like the ending they gave her. Even though I love her voice acting (shout out to Laura Bailey, amazing job as usual), the character feels like it doesn't evolve throughout the game.

The combat system is fun and strategic, even if it can become a bit repetitive over time, but that could've been me, because I did 100% of the game and took longer and fought more than normal. Every character plays very differently, which keeps battles interesting, although unlocking new characters can feel a little overwhelming at first due to how unique each one is. Still, once it clicks, it’s very satisfying, with Pyke being the most fun to play imo. The only aspect of the game that I consider a negative is that, for me, the main character's movement speed is extremely slow, which makes exploring tedious.

The soundtrack is fantastic and fits the atmosphere perfectly, controller support works flawlessly, and the game is impressively well optimized. Instead of my main PC, I played it on a Chuwi Minibook X that I use when I'm not at home, a device definitely not designed for gaming at all, at a stable 30 FPS with no issues at all. It has some annoying bugs, like the equipment bug, but nothing too bad.

Overall, I really enjoyed Ruined King and highly recommend it, especially if you’re a fan of the League of Legends universe.

For Those Who Come After

After finally completing Clair Obscur, I feel strongly compelled to write a review about it. I can totally say it’s one of the most stunning gaming experiences I’ve had in a VERY long time.

From the very beginning, the story hooks you. There's no slow build-up, you're hooked right away. Every scene, every bit of dialogue, every step forward makes you want to learn more about this strange and beautiful world.

Visually, this game is absolutely breathtaking. The art direction is surreal, imaginative, and incredibly immersive. But what amazed me most is how smoothly it runs on my old PC. I expected to struggle with performance, and instead I’ve had flawless gameplay with no stutters or technical issues, 60 fps most of the time. The optimization is seriously impressive but that said, the game did crash a few times in my 70 hours of gameplay, but it could be because of my old graphic card. And the music that complement the game is absolutely fantastic. The best I've heard in a long time in a video game. Every track fits the mood perfectly, from tense battles to emotional moments and quiet exploration. It doesn't just accompany the game, it elevates it. The soundtrack deepens the immersion and pulls you further into the world of Expedition 33 in a way that few games manage to do.

And the combat? Easily one of the best systems I’ve played in years. It’s fluid, tactical, and rewards both planning and reflexes, with a mix of turn-based combat, dodging and parrying mechanics that makes you feel great. You can tell this system was crafted with real care, it just feels right every time you're in a fight. There are two fights that are, in my opinion, particularly beautiful. Those are the fights against Sirène and against the Paintress . While all the battles in the game look very good, those fights in particular are visually stunning and some of the best I've seen in years.

What makes it even more incredible is knowing that this game was made by such a small team of developers. The level of polish, depth, and creativity here rivals studios with way more times the size and budget. It’s a true passion project, and it shows in every detail. I am truly grateful to Sandfall Interactive for the opportunity to play such a beautiful and polished game and world as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

If you're on the fence about getting it, like I was, don't be. It will bring you smiles, frustration and tears, but mostly tears. I can confidently say that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is something really special. if this game doesn't earn the GOTY I will be terribly surprised and offended.

Tomorrow Comes.

As a fan of "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order," I had high expectations for its sequel, "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor." Unfortunately, my experience has been overwhelmingly disappointing by significant issues that make it hard to recommend, especially for AMD users.

Firstly, the game's optimization on PC is lackluster, to put it mildly. Despite having a setup that exceeds the recommended system requirements, I encountered persistent frame rate drops, unexpected game crashes, and prolonged loading times that significantly detracted from the gameplay experience. It almost seems like "Jedi Survivor" was not tested at all on PC, leading to a frustratingly inconsistent performance. Again, I played on AMD graphics, I don't know if Nvidia has the same issues, but looking at the others reviews I would asume so.

Beyond the technical problems, "Jedi Survivor" also falls short of its predecessor in narrative engagement. Where "Fallen Order" offered a tight, compelling story coupled with robust gameplay mechanics, "Survivor" seems ok but worse. Combat, on the other hand, feels cooler with all the stances, even when they are totally unbalanced. However, combat feels like a huge improvement compared to Jedi Fallen Order.

They added many things in this game that could have made it great. Fast travel, fun and challenging side quests, nice story, better animations, Cal customization, etc. But all of this is overshadowed tremendously by the negatives. The optimization is non-existent, FPS drops, constant game crashes, textures out of place... I had to mod the game to gain a few FPS and repair characters textures. The characters looked blurred and the outlines were wrong. I could "fix" it, but I shouldn't have to fix a 70$ game.

I would love to recommend this game, as I love Star Wars, but at this day (25/04/2024) I can't. The game is still enjoyable and has its ups and downs, but only buy it on big sales and if you're ready to spend some time trying to optimize it.

So, "Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered" on Steam? Good. Swinging through the city is crazy fun, especially with the upgraded graphics, lightning and ray tracing. It looks sharp and beautiful, and New York is like a playground.

Fighting bad guys is also good. Spidey's got moves, and the combat feels smooth but it can get repetitive. The story is on point – it's got that superhero drama and action and everything comes together amazingly, even when you add up the DLCs. Voice acting ain't too shabby either.

And hey, talking about DLCs, they bundled in all the extra content, so that's a win. No need to nickel and dime for DLC.

Overall, if you're into Spider-Man or just want a solid action game, this one's worth a go. It's not reinventing the wheel, but it spins it damn well. Go swing around and have some fun. That is granted.

IMPORTANT REVIEW FOR AMD GRAPHICS CARDS' USERS

I bought this game many years ago and, at the time, I was able to play it without issues. However, today, if you have AMD graphics card, I can't recommend this game.

The game crashes constantly at certain points in the game, points that even prevent you from advancing in the story. After researching for hours and trying hundreds of solutions, I gave up. Apparently, it is very common for the game to crash on AMD cards.

If you don't use AMD, the game is great and will give you many hours of fun and a great story of one of the best Star Wars characters. But if you use AMD, it's not worth it, at least for now. Buy the game on Nintendo Switch or Android. Unironically, it runs better there than on AMD. When new AMD graphics patches are available, I will test if it runs correctly. If it works correctly, I will modify the review.

I have read that downloading older AMD updates, specifically from before May 2022, allows the game to run smoothly. However, this solution does not work for me.

I can't recommend this game unless you love Dark Souls or you really like rogue and stealth games, but i guess this is the kind of people reading this. I'm not really a fan of this gender but I chose to give a try to this one. So remember that before you read this.

I really enjoyed the first 8-10 hours of game, but you reach a point when the game starts to be pretty hard and I felt like playing Dark Souls but with the disadvantaje that you can't attack. Annoying enemies that made this game incredible hard in any difficulty. Enemies that can detect you by smell, kills you in one hit if they finally detect you and a lot of "YOU DIED" screens... To me this was awful, but i guess you will like this: the harder the better.

The game is amazing and I really liked it but there's a lot of inconsistencies that you can only discover by failing repeatedly. At the begining it is fun, but when you reach mid-late game is very tedious and monotonous.

Pros:
- Styx and its skills are pretty cool.
- Good music
- Differents paths in levels
- You can play without killing anyone, pretty hard, but possible.
- Graphics and visuals are cool, nice optimization too.

Cons:
- Bug physics, sometimes you kill a guard and his body flies over the room, so others guards see it and detect you. Absolutely annoying.
- The last four missions (out of 7 total) are backtracking through the previous 3 levels.
- Grabbing onto ledges is the most difficult thing in the whole game, what is a real challenge when you dont want to be detected.
- No fight against final boss, just a cinematic, I find this pretty disgusting.
- Useless combat mechanics, I guess this is why you dont have a fight against the boss. I know its a rogue game, but I rather no combat mechanics that the thing we have in here, because if guards detects you you will probably have to reload your last save, so its just losing your time.

So, if you are just like me, and you're not a real fan of Stealth and Rogue Like games, don't buy this unless you want a real challenge. On the other hand, if you like rogue like hard games and moving between a million guards, watching then and learning their patterns, you will ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enjoy this.
