I'm relatively new to wargaming, but a lifelong fan of RTS and RTT games. At first, I wondered how watching tiles move across a hex map could be exciting - but this game is truly immersive through its attention to detail and intensity of the WEGO turn based gameplay. It's not rolling a twenty-sided die to compute decisions, the combat is simulated through real world data. I feel like I'm planning a battalion or brigade operations during World War III, not just playing a game.

The Flashpoint Campaigns series has been established for two decades and Cold War is a definitive edition. It's built up from a core foundation of content, made by die-hard genre and military experts. Play this and find out why it's used by the professional wargamers.

Full disclosure: I work as a Producer on this game since 2025, but I wouldn't be working on this game if I didn't truly believe in it.

C:S II is a worthy successor to the original genre-defining city builder. I played C:S from day one and watched the growth every step of the way. This game is going to follow a similar path, and on day one it's a solid foundation for growth.

Performance can be optimized by changing settings. It's been developed with the future in mind.

If you love Cities: Skylines, there's no reason not to get this game. Unless immature rage about games is your thing.

Early Access Review
This is the tactical shooter I have been waiting for since sketching FPS ideas in my field message pad on Basic in '02. I studied the battle of Fallujah in '04 and we incorporated lessons into our own close quarters training.

Watched every clip I could find to help set the direction for the Insurgency Source Mod, too.

Insurgency popularized the genre. Squad grew from the Project Reality roots around the same time. Six Days in Fallujah brings a unique, yet intuitive experience that advances the realism to a new standard.

The immersive combat is phenomenal, even in Early Access.

50 hours in, time for a review.
This is my go to real time tactical combat game. It is simply fantastic! HIGHLY recommended.

Coordinate company sized units of mechanized infantry, tanks, artillery, for grand scale combined arms battles on the fields of Eastern Europe.

My preferred gameplay is Skirmish mode, playing as a random NATO faction. There are units from UK, US, West Germany, Belgium, with more NATO forces to come. Canada will elevate this game to masterpiece for me.

Support with artillery and air strikes make for some critical turning points.

The new Iron Curtain update introduced a Static Defense mode for Skirmish, and it's added depth to the overall gameplay. Looking forward to the future updates for more units and gameplay!

If you play Steel Division or Wargame, you'll be able to jump right into combat.

Simply brilliant. Very satisfying to plop down these townscapes! It's so fun to create unique towns that you couldn't in any other game. It feels like a late-Medieval to early-Renaissance European bird's eye map come to life.

Buy it now and support this indie dev. Let's see where this goes next!

Hell Let Loose is satisfying my realistic shooter fix at the moment. Worth the value of asking price. Active community that isn't toxic. Active developers with demonstrable talent and smart strategy of pairing with a publisher to leverage their potential.

+ Active developers with great communication
+ Stable and smooth performance despite the complexity
+ Large scale environments with real world layout and feel
+ Effective user interface
+ Gorgeous artwork
+ Great sense of ambiance
+ Simple meta gameplay that has depth
+ On-map artillery by players
+ Teamwork required

- Stats only submit at end of match
- Limited content (but expanding over time is a plus)
- No server queue

Harrowing and sorrowful portrayal of the Lancaster air crew experience during the Second World War. Listen to the historic voices of real men on a raid over Berlin in 1943, while experiencing the simulated raid with masterfully animated photorealistic characters re-enacting the events before your eyes.

Came to attention and saluted the F for Freddie crew member names when they appeared in the epilogue.

I've done extensive research and re-enacting of the RCAF Bomber Command air crew experience, and this is as pretty darn close as you can get.

Highly Recommended! As of Alpha 10 release, Squad is worth the price in Early Access.

Simply the best tactical shooter. Squad strikes a balance with milsim realism and accessible gameplay design.

Worthy successor in the Ubisoft Tom Clancy lineage.

A tactical masterpiece, if Extreme mode is enabled.

But, too many locked items and side missions to unlock things dilute the overarching narrative. Launch bugs, as expected.

If your PC can handle the surreal environment. Ansel mode is fun.
