Despite some balance and technical issues which should hopefully get ironed out, Skald is one of the more impressive indie CRPGs I've played in quite some time. Well-paced, well-written, great spritework, and incredibly good cosmic horror vibes the entire way through. If you have any sort of expertise with CRPGs it might not be a terrible idea to play on hard; I rarely had much trouble past the opening few hours and the mechanics themselves are straightforward enough.
