For me, Dfiance has the perfect combination of casual and competitive gameplay. Unlike some TCGs I'm playing, the time investment required to complete daily quests and maximize rewards is very reasonable, allowing you to remain competitive without investing many hours every day - and with absolutely no pay-to-win aspects, being able to compete is more a question of skill (and some luck) than having the biggest wallet. In the 2 weeks since release I have played for over 50 hours, and I've only scratched the surface in terms of decks, mechanics and content. I'm really enjoying the game, and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of TCGs.

Helldivers 2 is a game that deserves to be evaluated on the hard work of it's developers, and not the poor decisions of it's publisher. The game is one of the most exciting I have played in decades, with it's launch making a big splash as well as huge waves in the gaming community. If the devs are allowed to enjoy the freedom we Helldivers have fought so hard for, the game has a bright future, and I encourage everyone to dive in at least once.

Mortal Online 2 is the lovechild of Ultima Online and Darkfall, raised and trained in combat by Mount and Blade to prepare it for the hard life in the world of DayZ - MO2 is a full loot, open world PvP sandbox game with point pool-based, 'level-as-you-use' skills, an alignment and criminal system, with very immersive gameplay and an expansive set of character development options. For lovers of the genre, it is a dream come true.

For others however, it might be their worst nightmare. MO2 is not for the faint of heart - you will be PK'd, your horse will be killed purely as a form a griefing and not part of a PvP engagement, you will get lost in the huge world, you will be murdered while harvesting, and you will lose hours of time and effort on a frequent basis. In time however, these things will actually enrich your experience, and you might discover why so many people favor this genre, and enjoy this game.

The constant threat of death, the demands of navigating a world with no map, it gives everything you do more meaning, brings higher stakes to all your actions, and every interaction is a very unique, engaging and unscripted potential story. No quests, no rails, no required daily activities, no cash shop, no micro-transactions, no immersion-breaking UI elements...your view is first person, and your experience is very personal. You decide what to do, the game doesn't decide for you. Once you get accustomed to the death-regear cycle, after you get hardened to the initial shock of not having a dozen systems holding your hand, I think you'll find Mortal Online 2 is a game well worth playing.

There are still issues, but progress is constant and forward, and if you are someone who enjoys a game made for gamers who want to create their own identity, find their own unique role and do anything they want, MO2 is for you. And lastly, Henrik, the lead dev, really gets it. As someone with 400 hours in the game, and 30+ years in PvP games, I strongly recommend it.
