Bazooka needs a buff and chem toxin is a bit OP, but otherwise a suitable glass cannon class that can mow through a horde solo, but also get wrecked if a Rager so much as breathes on them. Good 40k punk fun, either way. Recommend if you enjoy Darktide. Not recommended for new players though. Git gud first.

"Abelard, post my glowing recommendation for Owlcat's Rogue Trader RPG, and tell them it is a wonderful introduction to WH40k for beginners and how deliciously grimdark it is for seasoned fans of the franchise. Also note that there is a fair bit more READING than what some would be use to, but that's alright, because by Throne the writing is fantastic. If they don't like it, then they're a heretic, and can burn under His righteous gaze."

If you've enjoyed the more recent XCOM games, then this is much like that but dripping with 40k aesthetic; some interesting design choices as well in terms of tactics and how it can play out in a level. A fair amount of environmental hazards; plasma cores to shoot and explode, promethium oil slicks to light on fire, industrial cranes and pillars to topple over on to enemies (or yourself lol). There's also a fair bit more enemies some times. Your knights are pretty tanky, and they can revive themselves after going down.

Whereas XCOM had specific parts of your turn be separated by movement and action, in Daemonhunters, you're allowed to pretty much do whatever you feel like so long as you have the AP to do it. Attacking tankier enemies in order to stun them allows you to melee-execute as well, granting an extra action to every one of your units.

If you're looking to dip your toes in the lore of 40k while engaging in a turn-based tactical rpg, then you can't really go wrong with picking this up either.

The near perfect vampire powerfantasy action-rpg you've been waiting for.

A major increase in aesthetics and sheer scale from the previous game. A must-buy if you're a fan of 40k or if you're curious on what the grimdark sci-fi power fantasy is about.

A decent enough turn-off-your-brain looter shooter; like a mix of Warframe and Destiny. Aesthetics are great, if very Korean (everyone has a strange uncanny valley model face).

Insanely beautiful, and almost big enough to be considered a sequel. If you enjoyed Elden Ring, then there's no reason not to pick this up.

Just be warned the Shadow realm has its own leveling system separate from the main game. Almost everything hits like a truck and will take you out in two or three hits. It forces you to learn enemy combos and when to dodge, otherwise you might not have a great time. It also wants you to explore and find the upgrades you need to empower yourself, since you can't really brute force through it all quite as much as you could before.

Your equipment/build and damage types/resistance matter a lot more now as well. I do think they need to lower the enemy damage a bit, but it's certainly not unplayable. Git gud, I guess.

Feels like I'm playing Metroid on the NES again.

Solid Metroidvania overall, though learns more toward it's roots in design.
