I bought the game one minute after it was released. The last few minutes before that I was spamming the F5 button frantically. I am a huge fan of both series, but I will try to make this review as impartial as possible (and spoiler free for that matter).


It's OK-ish. I really liked how you can change between elements at will. Yes, I was afraid they wouldn't implement this, glad they did. If it weren;t for this feature the combat would've gotten only the -ish. At first I thought the first elements would be the strongest but they managed to balance them pretty well. Until you get airbending. Wait 'till you see airbending.

Seriously? What? No. I'm not sure...
Could've been way better, since the creators of the show worked closely with the game producers. But again, OK-ish., even though the theme was not new at all, the story as a whole was worth knowing. But short. I finished the game in 5.8 hours as per Steam. And I lost a lot. And I mean A LOT. Also, seriously? Triple Threats? Giant double bodied Zuko-firesage ancient monster with a grudge on the Avatar? The Avatar losing her powers? What?

Another OK-ish. I would've liked some Mako and Bolin company. That would've been nice. And helpful, especially when fighting bosses. Typical Platinum Games gameplay generally. A bit too linear for my liking.

A couple of times I found myself getting my butt kicked by the Triple Threats and wondering what will I do if I spend all my money trying to beat them by buying consumables and I still can't beat them? Start all over again on a lower difficulty? That would've been very unfortunate.

Haven't played much but it seems nicely done. They have respected the official rules and the referee doesn't screw you. Will play some more matches to see what this is all about.

OK-ish I guess. I do not regret paying for it, nor playing it. But then again, I'm a fan
