The game scale is much greater than the original. Survival is more easy, the storm seems less of an enemy than your own antagonizing factions.

Despite being in early access this is pretty much a full game.
+ Good city builder
+ Randomized building and randomized map add a layer of strategy
+ Exploration of the map is essential to win, but exploration is sometimes hard and will punish you if you are not prepared.

I finished playing 20 hours in this and I think is enough for me, I recognize this game has potential to be played for hundreds of hours. I might check it again in a few years once it goes out of Early Access.

Gameplay is very simplistic, open world is very shallow.

If you liked the original Dying Light you will greatly enjoy this!
+ Parkour is fun, it's a joy to transverse the city It actually took me a while to realize there was fast travel.
+ Doing activities both at day and night are very satisfying, specially at night.
+ Side activities are ACTUALY side activities instead of being soft-mandatory trough a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level system!(take note Ubisoft)

- Combat at least on keyboard and mouse feels a little bit overwhelming with options. There is so much on the skill tree that I unlocked but never used due to combat basics being more than enough to deal with any problem.
- Minor glitches during quests.
- FPS drops during long play sessions specially when transitioning between zones (probably memory leak, will be fixed eventually. Simply restating the game solve this problem)
- Survivors are by far give the best bonuses, leaving little reason to pick the peacekeepers.

Really liked this game, it has much potential! Doesn't take much to learn the basics and it let's you to take your time to progressively go deeper.

As someone who really looked forward to the new VR Mode I was severely disappointed. I didn't expected HL:Alyx levels of quality but didn't imagine it to be straight up the WORST VR game I ever played. I cannot recommend the game If you intend to buy it for the VR experience.

Although, the normal PC mode is superb and is really worth buying if you don't care about VR (which is what I ended up doing).

If you are in the mood for the unlikely combination of card and inidie horror game. Go for this title!
