Peleliu, 1944, September 18th

As we sit in between the uncomfortable coral trying to get all the cover we can from the heat and possible enemy snipers we hear a sound. A rumbling sound, we look over to the other side of the airfield and see the Japanese mounting an infrantry offensive supported by tanks. I grabbed my machine gun and hurried as fast as I could to our defensive positions. As I aim my 30. cal towards the japanese infrantry and a handfull of tanks get nearer. We mow down the Japanese infantry but theres no anti-tank weaponary in sight. A single Japanese tank gets closer to our position and we prepare for the worst until suddenly the tank drives over a relatively small rock and it's track breaks. forcing the tank to turn slightly away from us until the driver stops it. Inside we hear a muffled gunshot and the muffled Japanese tank crew voices screaming '' まったく、このクソ仕事は大嫌いだ ''.
We, offcourse, had no idea what it meant but we knew one thing for certain. The type 94 Nambu 8 mm pistol had claimed another victim.
