I can see that. Let's hope you will never have to use that excuse in front of a judge.
"I say a mod is a mod, no matter what it contains or where it came from. As long no one is making a profit from it, I see no issue."
And that's exactly the reason we now are having this argument. As long as something isn't an issue to YOU it isn't a problem. Unfortunately there are others who do, which you might have noticed by now. The argument you are using is usually the same pirates use: "I'm not going to buy it anyway, so its not like the company is losing profit, right?"
-*facepalm* That's like having an argument in RL, where the other person says "wait, you can't hold me to that, we were in a different room back when I said that".
No, but last time I checked you can't upload on the workshop even with a new account, unless you buy a new skyrim copy for that account to.
...or maybe everything you said was a lie from the start, and thus you don't even know the existance of the report box you need to fill in before sending a report?
And if you seriously use the argument "I just gave mirror to mods that already exist", you obviously don't know the definition of Piracy at all. Uploading copyrighted content is illegal no matter who did the porting itself.
It was removed because I reported it and a few others that I told to as well. Thanks to you, I now have had the mods removed from workshop and my steam community privileged suspended for 13weeks, that just means I can make a post or comment in the community nothing bad really, but good thing is I have several other accounts and account making is free, so I can just keep on doing what I do.
What you did, making a public profile/community to hunt down ppl like some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bounty hunter then slandering your community page with "balh blah blah this and that about this person", yea you are bad for that. Your intention as mine are, are good. How you executed your's was very poor and bad. You could have just made a steam community page and made it private or invite only and coordinated that way to hunt mods down and do the reports that way. Just what you did. I just gave a mirror to mods that already existed and gave credit for those that imported and made the meshes/textures(the studios), that is it. Nothing more, nothing less.
it was most likely gstaff on his vacation just thumbed through what arthmoor messaged him and just hid them all instead of looking at the description of the page.
@Tieno - the list was taken down with the following sentance: "ban reason: uploading mod without modders consent". Somehow I suspect that they didn't read past the title and assumed that I was PROMOTING the stolen mods. I have sent a message and asked them clarify this though, but havnt received an answer yet. It was a pretty lengthy message though, so it might take a few days. PlayerTw0 has started a new list for the moment though.
