Unlike most immersive sims that have a lot of horror and suspense, Skin deep is pretty chill. Each level is kind of like a puzzle with multiple solutions, but it doesn't punish you for screwing up. Figure about 10 hours of play time, 15 if you're being completionist about it.

For the little bit I've played so far, this looks like it could be the best entry since Borderlands 2, but the performance is so horrible that I'm putting it down until they can get things fixed. It is a decent looking game, but there are plenty of games that look and perform better. Also please fix the resolution options for ultra wide monitors to allow for 16x9 or 21x9 ratios (which windows itself supports).

One of the most immersive star wars games I've ever played. Gameplay-wise it's pretty standard ubisoft fare, but done well overall. Even when the gameplay starts to run thin after a couple dozen hours, I still keep coming back for the atmosphere. Now's a great time to pick it up with the summer sale going on and most of the early issues ironed out.

Review Update: I initially wouldn't recommend due to widescreen monitor issues, which they have since fixed. I'd still be nice if it could make use of at least a 32/9 screen, but just letter-boxing it to HD aspect ratio works for now. Chill game and pretty to look at. Don't expect anything super complicated or challenging, but it's still an enjoyable diversion in the factory game genre.

Fantastic game so far about 12 hours in. It recreates the feel of the movies really well - not super action-heavy, but I've had a ton of fun exploring, solving puzzles, collecting things, and experiencing the story. The voice acting is superb as well.

Update: 100%'d the game in about 40 hours. I like that there's lots to do but it also respects your time. Fantastic ending, this game's the best Indiana Jones story since Last Crusade.

A chill city building game that's like Anno lite with some dungeon keeper thrown in. A run can be completed in about 4-5 hours, and it's impossible to really lose since your main base on the surface is never threatened. It's good for scratching the city building itch without big commitment or stress. I'd recommend picking it up on sale.

Starfield is a good game, but it's not for everyone and doesn't deserve the amount of negativity it's gotten lately. I think part of it's problem is there are unfun gameplay traps that most people should avoided - like settlements, resource gathering, and exploration. There's much that could have been better, but there's also a lot of things it does well. If you love games like Fallout 4, there's much to enjoy here. Here's some tips for making the most of your time with Starfield:

- Don't expect to be able to just wander off into the middle of nowhere and find something interesting. Space is just too big so there's lots of filler procedural content to fill in the gaps. Think of it as part of the setting, not something you need to go check out. Feel free to wander around the main cities, but otherwise only go to places you have a reason to go to.
- Stick to quests that have a special icon on them, those are the good ones. There's many hours of enjoyment to be had with the main faction quests. If another quest sounds interesting go for it, but don't expect as much mileage.
- Avoid outpost building unless you just love to dollhouse. It's pretty pointless.
- Most of the companion quests are pretty meh. Sarah's wasn't too bad though.
- Building a custom spaceship is fun!

If I could only own one game, this would probably be it. The complexity that can be built out of a fairly simple toolkit is amazing. When you're 100 hours into a factory and zoom way out, you'll realize that your factory is starting to look like an integrated circuit. Also remember that launching your first rocket is just the beginning - try scaling up to a rocket every minute or even faster!
