Absolutely brilliant. One of the best metroidvanias I have ever played.

At first I was afraid I would bounce off of this game. The visuals felt so retro that I was afraid the game would feel too similar to the original Metroid which is the only one I didn't finish (I didn't grow up with it and Zero Mission is right there). However instantly upon launching it I knew that was not the case.

The controls are heavenly. I finished the whole game on keyboard and I instantly fell in love with how well thought out the controls were. Moving with AWDS and shooting with arrow keys, while odd, immediately felt natural and comfortable.

The map is incredibly well thought out and paced. I never had an issue of being stumped with what place to explore. Backtracking was never too much of a hassle as the map is really well connected. Save stations were spaced really well for the most part. The only area where I felt they were lacking was the lava zone, Vulknor, though looking at the level design there I understand why they were so far away from each other.

Combat felt exciting. I felt each weapon had its uses and was different enough to warrant being there. Most boss fights were exciting and tense. At times it did feel like some fights had a bit too many phases and some enemies dealt a bit too much damage for my liking, that's only a small gripe. However the optional superboss was absolutely brutal. I think most of my deaths in my playthrough were just due to him.

The soundtrack is also really good, providing a nice, atmospheric background to everything that happens.

The game also features a built in randomizer. While I might be the target audience for such a feature I might be tempted to give it a go if I decide to play Zexion again.

I know this review might seem too superlative, but that's only because Zexion truly does feel like a gem of a game that was made with passion and love. Deserves way more attention. One of the best games I finished in 2025.

It's been a long time since I last encountered a game that made me want to drop everything and just play and play and play it. Another Crab's Treasure is a gem like no other. There's an insane attention to detail here, it's like every asset has been made with love and care, there is something funny and/or deeply sad everywhere you look. While I do have some issues with the game balancing ("poise breaking" is an incredibly powerful tool, maybe even too powerful), they aren't ones that detract from the game in any way. The writing, world building and level design make this probably the best game that has come out in 2024 and one that I will for sure come back to in the future. Simply amazing. Great job, Aggro Crab.

A delightful little platformer with an extremely goofy and cute protagonist. The jumping is incredibly floaty and the game can feel a bit stiff - especially when controlling vehicles, but the platforming is incredibly fun - chaining moves together to clear huge gaps and skip chunks of the level in creative ways never gets boring.

An incredibly solid remaster of a game that's well worth playing.

A very stylish, minimalist stealth game with really well designed controls and mechanics. Puts a big focus on stealth as your combat capabilities outside of it are almost non-existent.

Super Kiwi 64 is a gem. An extremely focused short little 3D collectathon with a charming aesthetic and really tight controls. The game has almost zero fat - everything is there for a reason, everything works well together. The level design is well thought out, with everything flowing together well - there was only one instance where I had to stop and think "Okay, where do I go now?".

Wholeheartedly recommend.

A truly lovely game with expressive controls, a touching story and tons and tons of charm and polish. It's just playful in the best possible way.

A short and bitter-sweet narrative experience that takes around an hour to finish. A narrative game with a heavy emphasis on narrative. If that's not your thing, you probably won't like it.

Adios takes a certain way of interacting with it to fully enjoy in my opinion. Don't approach it as if you were to play a game. Approach it as if you were to watch a movie. As stated before, there is very little 'game' here and the elements that are there only serve to support the narrative.

Fully recommend if you're in the mood for something that will make you feel things.

Despite following every community fix I could find I still couldn't get past the loading screens/opening cutscene. Just don't buy this. Or be ready to spend way too much time trying to get it to function.

Not a game I enjoy. As a fan of point and click games I was really looking forward to playing it, but in this particular one it has all been kinda watered down. No idea why, maybe to accomodate console users. I also had some problems with the story and pacing. While in other Daedalic games it all clicked into place in this one I just couldn't get into it. I'm just disappointed by this one as it sounds and looks absolutley stunning. It just doesn't play well.
