It's been 18 years since this iconic game was released. At this point everyone knows how revolutionary it was at the time it was released.

The sequel is so much better, but you can see the right calls that they did on its first iteration as well.
The first game is cinema. The second one is cinema on steroids.

PS: I wonder if the game will be updated on upcoming aniversaries.

Un muy buen juego finamente diseñado, que cumple bien con todos los checkmarks de un juego retro.
También admite bajas resoluciones asique creo que puede correr en pc de gamas media-baja.
Tengo pocas horas registradas en el juego, la campaña original y el interludio la jugué estando offline y las 9 horas marcadas son tras rejugarlo cuando actualizé la pc, sabiendo todo el camino.

I had some fun. There are few part of some levels that it looks like if they were secrets, but they are just normal level progression.

And there are moments where the hitscans go super hard, but the more you play, the more you learn how to dominate them. Git gud or go home.

Overall, a nice classic, get ready to be punished, and I found the game to be finely tuned on skill three, from what i've heard anything above skill 4 was meant to be balanced towards cooperative, so fair warning, game is difficult, but totally doable, though you have to be commited to git gud.

Played most of the game on a rented computer (at hurt me plenty, as i had little time to develop muscle memory while not at home), now that i've got my computer upgraded I was able to play it at home.

Had fun with it, you start with low ammo, but it becomes manageable later on.
Everything is finetuned and polished, so no complains there.

Also, once you completed the game and dlc's, you can have some extra time on horde mode.
Can't talk about battlemode, had no luck finding a match, I wish they had deathmatch or some classic modes, or even coop, but alas. Innovation comes at a price and that price was no regular multiplayer.

Highly recommended, but I am biased, as i've been playing doom since 2001 (and modding it since 2005)

Very cool concept with beautiful art and such a sweet ending.
The puzzles may be a bit too far on the cryptic/complex side, but they still are enjoyable once you find how they work.

It is also free, so, you don't lose anything.
I couldn't resist and bought the other two games she made. I'll give them a try later.

10/10 would watch david accidentally delete dusk textures on stream again =P

The kind of game I would like to upgrade my computer to play it the way it should be played =P
Already completed the game on normal, now playing it again on the third skill, warming up for the 4th one, which is permadeath.

A really cool game, with several enviroment themes (medieval, antartic, egyptian, industial and "....." )
Great pixelart animations and insteresting map designs, sightly short and maze-like at times, yet they make sense in the overall theme.
Weapons can be upgraded over time and you can even buy spells

It does require a decent computer to run at solid 60fps, but still capable to run on low-end hardware.
If you have any doubts, then con can give the demo version a try and see if it convinces you in some sort of way.

Try the demo to see if your pc can run it, and get a good taste of the first level of the game.
if it hooks you up, then go buy it. 4 years later it's cheaper. Singleplayer great, snapmap good, multiplayer "is something"

It has some minor flaws, but still... Good!
