This is a hard one. On paper the bones of this game are truly excellent and it is well built largely well balanced and strangely addictive.

However, like so many games now this is a game that never finished being developed, there are strange bugs, annoying path-finding issues and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - it is unlikely that this game will ever get finished and this is the greatest let down as it could be a truly excellent franchise and game - if only they finished it.

Early Access Review
I want this game to be good, but honestly, it's beyond terrible in its current state.

Here's why:
  • The graphical style is so artsy it is distracting; I thought my graphics drivers were playing up at first, but no, it should look like that. Those obnoxiously bright shiny colours, yep, that's intentional.
  • Simple features are massively over-complicated yet weirdly simplified to the point of being useless. I'm planning a circularisation manoeuvre, maybe I should know the altitude, you know, so I can get it circular. Even a simple de-orbit burn - aiming for the ocean is difficult when you're not completely sure you've slowed down enough to exit orbit.
  • God knows how I would even be able to rendezvous because I barely know where my craft is when I am flying it, let alone where another one is.
  • Want to select a part. Are you sure you don't need the part dialogue? No, I do not need MS Clippy redux version.
  • "Fanfare please! *(clears throat)* Look at all of our new procedural parts." I'm sorry, where exactly? KSP1 literally handed to you what the community wanted, hell I would go so far as say they made it for you. Why ignore all those parts that allowed you to select a diameter/fuel type/design/length etc.
  • Orbital trajectory. Should be easy right, you can see where it goes it's sort of pointed towards the mun let's just tweak it slightly oh yeah you removed the ability to select an orbital body, thanks for that.
  • Docking Ports. Good luck using them, good luck disengaging them, just good luck.

It's not all bad to be fair to them. The new parts categories and tags are an improvement and this game has so much potential.

Just be prepared to wait, what will likely be a very long long time...

All round excellent game, breathes a new spark of life into what was a franchise that was stagnating.

This could/should be an excellent game...but:
-If you remotely suffer from motion sickness you will be unable to play this game almost instantly after starting it.
-The game devs seem to have abandoned this so although it is a finished game don't expect support for controllers more modern than the vive controllers.
-Even when playing with vive controllers the controls are whacked - I get that the devs were limited but every time you so much as think about moving your head or hands your whole view changes.

Please devs add teleport and options for index controllers that would work so much better than the vive controllers for just about every control.

This has all the hallmarks of being a great game, but the training missions are damn near impossible and the server issues make the game literally unplayable.

Until Frontier do something about the server issues this game will be a waste of money for anybody.

This has to be the worse tomb raider I have ever played. For an open world game I have never played a game that felt so linear and 2 dimensional. Yes it had tombs that diverted from the main story (but they were basically all the same). Then lets actually talk about the story, massively lacking in depth and extremely dull.

Hands down the best bit was playing around in croft manor, but even that was too short!

Truly excellent game well worth the money, however, i should not need to download a mod to get the game to run on Windows 10
