It's just overhyped, overrated mess that will be forgotten in a few months. It's literally jumbled from some asset library, voiced by AI. Looks like ♥♥♥♥, runs like ♥♥♥♥ (what else to expect from a UE5 game). The loot is boring and pointless - why exactly do I need to collect this metallic junk? To craft the ugliest weapons in gaming history to shoot the most generic looking robots possible?

Escape from Tarkov if it were actual good game

Well, they wasted even more time, they could have made Sekiro 2, but instead they gave us this noncence.
Elden Ring and its consequences have been a disaster for From Software future games.

And after I spent 8 hours in this pathetic excuse for a roguelike and understood how it works - the only thing I regret is missing the opportunity to refund it.
It’s just an undercooked cash grab with no replayability, forced 3P co-op, almost zero progression between runs, and a miserable single-player mode.

It can be fun at times, but that’s only because it borrows core gameplay from Elden Ring. All the roguelike/Fortnite-like parts they added specifically for NR are either badly done or not done at all.

Nightrain is cheap trash, a parasite on the technical legacy of Dark Souls and Elden Ring. A couple of guys from Hopoo Games made an infinitely better game from scratch years ago, FromSoftware’s B (or maybe C) team just slapped together this Elden Ring total conversion mod with zero understanding how to do rogue like multiplayer game.

It’s not bad, but it’s just bland. It lacks the atmosphere of 2016 or the fast-paced craziness of Eternal. Weapon design and sound a super genreic, lore and story cutscenes are just silly, music is forgetabble, and robot and dragon flying missions are basically filler content without any fun challange. It’s definitely the weakest part of the “new” trilogy.

But it’s worth playing. While mechanically it’s a step back from the arena-shooter-inspired Eternal, the combat is still fun in a different way. Vertical combat with weapon-switching combos in tight locations is replaced by more traditional big flat arenas with a lot more strafing and QTE events disguised as melee parries. Bigger levels with more secrets also encourage a lot more exploration than in Eternal.

Eternal and TDA both feel like steps in radically different directions from 2016. It’s a good thing that ID is open to experimentation and not just remaking the same game three times. But it’s sad that this trilogy will end (I see no chance for another game) on this kinda mid entry.

This piece of ♥♥♥♥ won’t start if your system has some random security certificates issued in Russia or Serbia, or maybe some other random country. The only option is manually disabling or deleting them (and wrecking other software that relies on them). This issue has been present since the game’s release, and MS is doing literally NOTHING to fix it - not even one official answer or comment.

The previous MS Flight Simulator (which was exactly the same game, btw) had a random download speed problem from release that still isn’t fixed, so it’s safe to assume this will never be fixed either. Messing up unrelated bank certificates just to launch a video game is absurd.
I really wanted to play this, but ♥♥♥♥ this - MS is just a trash company at this point. Refunded.
