Hey there,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Oscar Ruiterkamp, a 27 year old Business & Management student from the Netherlands. On the internet I go by the nick The Tank, a nickname given by former fellow teammates by always trying to hurt the opposition and currently quite fitting to my body size. I've been involved with gaming ever since I could walk, online gameplay for about 12 years and counting.

About 9 years ago I really got involved with online gaming. I started to play Day of Defeat 1.3 and got involved with major clans and communities. Throughout the years I learned a great deal from wonderful people about running your own clan and building it out to a massive community. A lot of plugin developers and server admins learned me how to run servers, write plugins and everything otherwise technical related. So 5 years ago I decided I wanted to try my luck and founded Bad Ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, a Day of Defeat 1.3 community (www.clanbam.com) . It has been a blast from the beginning to the end and has been a great experience.

But after 5 years I wanted to try something else, so I decided to leave B.A.M in capable hands and moved on. I founded Alcatraz Gaming Community with a couple of friends and right now we are trying to built this from the ground up to one of the biggest gaming communities ever to hit the internet. The idea is to use Team Fortress 2 as the foundation and continue to built on that by expanding to other games. We use a complex structure to allow people to grow inside the community clan and allow people to fully develop their potential.

Besides online gaming I am involved with the official Dutch Electronic Sport Association. This association wants to provide the best environment for gamers within The Netherlands. For example right now we are establishing the very first official E-sportclub, it's a like a football club but then for gaming. We are also the proud hosters of the World Cyber Games National Preliminary in The Netherlands.
