This is my first Soulsborne game and I can genuinely say I loved every second of it.

It's been a very long time since I played a game, and especially considering the length, have wanted to replay it and 100% it on steam. There are definitely performance issues, repeated bosses that get very stale and infuriating but its such a minute part of the game compared to everything this game does right. The diversity of the world, the story, the uniqueness of every different boss. So many bosses I've started the fight thinking it's going to be easy and then spending the next 4 hours on it but I keep coming back wanting more.

Truly a masterpiece.

The story and game play is pretty good I would say but it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ show full of bugs and performance issues. The performance alone is something I can deal with as it's only really while moving between areas where you get stuttering but mixed with the mass of bugs and the constant opportunity for soft locks. I've been soft locked 3 times and i'm only half way through the game one of which lost my almost an hour of progress. It didn't help that auto saves are scarce (only at the start of each hour) and some saves are broken such as Freddy not spawning in sections where he is required to progress. This mixed with my soft lock after a mission breaking because I chose to come back to it later in the game led to me needing to restart the hour.

I wouldn't recommend this in it's current state. It's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun and i genuinely want to play more but i'm instantly put off every time I launch the game and experience bugs or annoying game design (lack of auto saves) which make me want to bang my head against a wall.

I love fnaf as a franchise and I loved help wanted and i'm sure steel wool will fix it in the future as all of the problems I've seen are very patchable but at the moment it's not worth £30.

Fun until your friend starts playing sicko mode and then you die to a child sprinting at you.

Definitely buggy, Definitely clunky, but still early access and Definitely worth the price.
