I am genuinely shocked this game hasn't got more attention since its release earlier this year. This game consistently gives out Nintendo developer vibes through it's innovative puzzles and platforming mechanics that are always involving. Completed in around 10 hours but will definitely be going back to find the remaining pieces.

The only real issue I encountered during my play through was the lack of fast travel to previously explored areas. The great elevator is good for travelling between larger worlds but I sometimes had a hard time finding a sub level where I was missing several cog pieces.

Do not hesitate on purchasing this game and giving it a try. Works great on Steam Deck as well!

What a beautiful and well crafted game! The seamless transitions from live action video to game play is jaw dropping. Squadron 51 has tight controls, creative combat that doesn't wear out it's welcome. It has just enough challenge to appeal to beginners and experts of horizontal shooters. Honestly, my only grip is that the difficulty is a little unbalanced, with more difficult levels towards the middle and seemed easier toward the end. The story-line is well crafted and campy just like you would expect.
